In the year 2029, The United States government passes a Secesssion Amendment that allows states to voluntarily leave the United States. New countries and alliances are formed. Medicare and Medicaid are abolished by the U.S. Government.

Meet the Author

I am a 59 year old Midwesterner who loves the Great Lakes. When I stand before Lake Superior, it is like being in church. Our great natural resources need to be protected. Our political system needs to protect these resources. We need to be more unified as a country. That is why I wrote this book.

Recently, I retired from teaching Economics and Government at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin after 27 years. I have a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. (I also attended Boston University.)

I am married and have three college-aged children.
