More About This Book

Overview

The world is about to learn its greatest lesson in history ─ TWICE!

In the unknown mists of the distant past, millennia before the dawn of recorded history, an enormous comet struck a rich and fruitful Earth, pummeling nearly all life to extinction. Though long forgotten, this event is about to change mankind's destiny a second time.
~~~~~~
Within a few short weeks, Kioro Itara, the fanatical ultra-national head of Japan's largest industrial corporation, Hinode Worldwide, will push mankind over the brink of catastrophe as he implements the ultimate solution to all his island nation's problems.
~~~~~~
In TWICE BLIND, part mystery, part techno-thriller, James Forester keeps his readers on the edge of their seats as he deftly weaves a tale of intrigue bringing together an intricate series of riveting yet seemingly unrelated events
~~~~~~
Syman Pons and Dexter Gordon, computer experts and best friends, are founders of the world's fastest growing computer company, Thinking Machines International. Having created the 'Comparitor' with its revolutionary new abilities, Gordon and Pons are rocketing along technology's cutting edge as their thinking machines replace computers everywhere.
On the way to a business meeting, Dexter Gordon accidentally discovers a part of Kioro Itara's hellish plan. From that moment, Gordon and Pons are drawn into an ever darkening maelstrom of malignant evil and escalating danger.
Compelled into action by the kidnapping of Karrie Gordon, Dexter's sister and Syman's fiancée, Gordon and Pons crisscross the world as they struggle to overcome Kioro Itara's sinister plan, one piece after another.
Whether employing their considerable intellectual, financial, and industrial resources or only some long forgotten boyhood talent, Gordon and Pons must draw on all their energy, ability, strength and genius to conquer a rapid fire sequence of frightful events as they square off against an utterly ruthless adversary.
Whether entrapped in a 500,000 year old crypt on an island in the middle of the Atlantic or just hard at work in the offices and laboratories of TMI, the anticipation is palpable as the reader is propelled from introduction to mystery and from expectation to the unexpected resolution of this provocative and entertaining story.
Whether delivering the most precious substance on Earth from Atlanta to Tokyo in the shortest possible time or nipping a nuclear war in the bud when there is no time left to lose, Pons and Gordon lead us a chase through difficulty, mystery and rescue to a climax in the present, that rewrites the past and forever changes mankind's future.
    As Twice Blind proceeds, James Forester succeeds in creating a fascinating and captivating adventure story that constantly peaks the reader’s curiosity, with new mysteries being revealed as previous mysteries are answered. As a result, you don’t want to put it down.
    The author has also created some very memorable characters. A little quirky, humorous, all male, and energetic as all geddyup!!, Dexter Gordon and Syman Pons, blast through adventure after adventure as they uncover and overcome the insidious danger facing the people of Earth. As you get to know the characters and there are several others beside Gordon and Pons, you may start to wish some of them were your friends. Kind of like the way people relate to the characters in Star Trek.
    Written in the style of older novels, establishing who, what, why, when and where at the beginning, it is a little slow to get going, front loading the basis for the rest of the story. Still, it’s well worth the effort and by page thirty or so, when Dexter goes to get a bank loan, it takes off like a rocket! And, it doesn’t stop until the last page, with many twists and turns and provocative surprises all along the way.
    All in all, I can say, if you want to get a good nights sleep or you want to actually get some other things done during your day, you better not start reading Twice Blind. Once you get in to it, you won’t want to stop.
    If you love a provocative, fast moving, and entertaining adventure story with unique, memorable and likable characters, you will most likely enjoy Twice Blind.
