There are so many things wrong with this book!!! I bought it and about 1 hour after reading I put it down and returned it the next day. What the author thinks are "facts" are completely wrong!! She talks about mixing Edward and Bella's blood so she can become a vampire, about Edward not being a virgin, and about Jacob being a werewolf, when we learn they are really shapshifters. The author talks about herself and her own experiences more than the book. She says that Edward has telepathic powers and warns Bella to run from Laurent. None of those things are true.
She should have spent more time reading the books more carefully if she was going to write a book about it.
IT WAS A WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY!! I should have just waited for the Twilight Saga book to come out.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Those of you who really paid attention to the book will quickly pick up on how bad this book is within the first two chapters.

**FYI-This author has a lot of "unauthorized" companions to a lot of other movies. Probably just doing it to try and make some money.

TRUE TWILIGHTERS STAY AWAY

I got this book for Christmas - and if you are a true Twilight fan - STAY AWAY!!! This book has more facts that are WRONG than there are that are right. Did this author even bother to read any of the Twilight books? First, she talks about how to change into a vampire - mixing blood together. Um - no!! Its from the Venom in their teeth... Then she mentions Stephanie Meyers 3 books series - Last I checked, it was 4! And she goes to list the 3 she mentioned in the wrong order. This is on top of the many other mistakes that she makes. Any true Twilight fan will be severely disappointed with this book. Do yourself the favor of wasting your time returning this because you're so unhappy with it and just dont buy it at all!

This book is called the Twilight Companion, but it couldn't be farther from it. It refers to traditional vampirism too much, and doesn't fill in the blanks to Twilight. It really hasn't got much Twilight talk in it at all. Reading it is like listening to that person that never shuts up and thinks that they are right about everything. BORING and TASTELESS!

I got this a bit early, and I have to say its a let down. I thought it would be about the series, but its more 'oh if your boyfriend was a vampire blah blah blah' and more or less her opinion on the whole thing. I felt like it was a waste of my money which kind of sucks :/ Stephenie Meyer's is going to be so much better.

Really, I wouldn't waste my money on it. I was so excited to get it, and instead I was let down by what I read. It really was more of her opinion on the series. I figured it was more like the Harry Potter Companion, and sadly I was greatly disapointed.

Ok, I usually read books quickly, but it took me two weeks to finish this book and I didn't even read the whole thing. That should tell you something right there. This is an absolutely moronic waste of time and the author never should have been allowed to publish the book.

While it is entertaining to read about the other vampires in other books and movies, this book should never have been called a companion guide to the Twilight series. Mistakes after mistakes about the "facts" of the Twilight series were made by the author, which makes one wonder if the author even bothered to read the books. A red flag is the book was called an "unauthorized" guide.

If I could, I would have rated this book a 0 out of 5. Please do not waste your time with this book.

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This book was one of the most inaccurate books I have ever read! I got it for Christmas and in the first paragraph there was something wrong. It said that to change someone into a vampire the two need to exchange blood. Um NO!! All you need to do is be bitten by a vampire to turn into one! And don't get me started on the werewolves! They are not serial killers, they protect humans from vampires! I swear the person that wrote these book have got to be ASHAMED of themselves for writting a completely wrong book. I have read each of the books in the Twilight saga SIX TIMES!! I of all people should know that almost everything the author wrote was 100% incorrect. SERIOUSLY! If you're going to write a book on a best selling series where tons of people have read it and know what's right and what's wrong, either READ THE FLIPPIN BOOKS or GET SOMEONE WHO HAS READ THE BOOKS TO HELP YOU WITH THE DETAILS. I was completely disappointed in it. The stuff on the classic vampires was fine, but it's a guide to the Twilight books. I know one thing's for sure, almost every single one of the Twilight fans out there (and there are a lot) will agree that almost the entire book was wrong! Terrible writting, terrible facts on the Twilight werewolves and vampires, terrible BOOK!! Enough said.

I didn't really like reading this book. I got it over February Break and was disappointed. *No offence to the author* I just thought it would tell the reader would tell the reader hidden things about the series. But it really just told the authors opinions and things a lot of people already knew. I am not saying anything bad about the author just at some points she went off the "Twilight" topic and started tlking about Dracula and stuff. That is just my opinion but you might love it. Who knows?

I was so excited there was a new book connected to the twilight series I couldn't wait to get my hands on this. What a MAJOR disappointment. Really please don't waste your money on this book if you are a real twilight fan. Lois thinks she is so funny and the book is far from that. I am returning mine tomorrow as I couldn't make it half way through this dumb book.

The information lacks accuracy, it would seem as if the author had only read the series but not fully absorbed the novels to have complete insight and understanding of the works. The book is very bland and vague on information. The information in the book shows nothing new that a Twilight fan didn't already know.

To tell ya the truth I really think the Author of this book didnt read the Twilight Saga at all! In the frist paragraph of the frist chapter the author is talking about how Bella is begging Edward to change her and the Author writes "for that to happen requires that Edward mix his blood with hers" Hum Hello never once did it say in Twilight that their blood had to mix to change! The change comes from the venom on their teeth! Duh and then the Author says "I'm assuming you've read all three Stephenie Meyer"s terrific books in the Twilight saga:" and the Author list them in this exact order!! "Twilight, Eclipse, and New Moon!" Are you kidding, Lets see Im pretty sure it goes Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse!! Then the Author starts talking about why dont we ever see Edward sleeping in a coffin! Hum well if you read the book you would know he doesnt sleep! Grrr. All im saying if you are going to write about a Great book you didnt write or from what it looks like didnt read than hands off!! Im sure the true Twilight Fans will not like this book at all!!!!!

I purchased this book to read about the "insight into the series" and "heaps of fascinating facts" as stated on the back of the book. If you're a true Twilight fan and have read all four books, this book will reveal NOTHING that you don't already know. Mostly, this book compares the Twilight series to other vampire myths, books, and movies. It's a very juvenile approach to me, with quizzes about "dealing with your vampire boyfriend", if it were such a thing, but overall, this book provides nothing useful or insightful that you couldn't find out from google or by reading other vampire books. I don't recommend spending the $12.95 unless you are really interested in that sort of thing.

This book is so horrible. The author makes Edward seem like a vampire that dies when it gets holy water on him and sees a cross. She makes Jacob seem like a werewolf that eats people not animals. She shouldn't even be able to write this sort of stuff she just ruins the book. So DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to get a Twilight guide I recomend you buy it from the author of Twilight herself

Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. When, I origionally saw this book, I thought that it would be a good book to get, but I was hesitant because it said "Unauthorized" but I bought the book anyway. I was hoping that it would talk about things in the book that were not mentioned and be a good book for someone who already loves the Twilight Saga. I fully read the book on a rainy day and was surprised by how the author included many of her strong opinions.
These are some of my opinions: I feel that she should have waited to write this book until she had read "Breaking Dawn." This might have changed some of her views, and possibly the entire book altogether. Even though she included one chapter about the final book, I don't think that it was enough to cover it.
You can odviously tell that she has already chosen her side, and she is with the vampires. She doesn't want anything to do with the shapeshifters, and she clearly states this in the few chapters about the wolves. This offends the people that are on the Quileute's side, like me. She should have stayed neutral.
There are some quizzes in this book, and for these I have mixed emotions. Some of them, like the compatibility test, were fairly accurate. But others, like the werewolf quiz, were very innacurate and didn't even offer answers, no matter how easy the test was.
I found it interesting how she wrote what she was doing as she wrote the book, and it sounded as if she just sat down and wrote it without actually thinking about the process.
One of the few things that I enjoyed about this book was the inside information about vampires and werewolves, but the downside to it was that most of it didn't relate to the books.
So if you are using this review in your decision, I recommend that you save your money for the official guide which is being released to the public on September 30th.
Thank you for reading this and remember that opinions are opinions. (also, my apologies for and grammatical errors to this, Thanks :) )

By far the worst book ever! The author obviously thinks she is funny when she is not at all. I could not stand reading this book. I LOVE Twilight & thought this would be a decent hold me over until New Moon comes out in theaters. WAS I EVER WRONG! If you feel like wasting money this book is a sure way to do it.

This was a complete waste of money. This book was full of gushing nonsense and not too much about Twilight itself. Mostly the author's (and I use the term author very lightly) weird opinions. I looked her up and it seems like she tries to cash in on a lot of popular book series by writing these "companion" books. BOO!
