Meet the Author

Harold Hummel is a big game hunter, houndsman, trapper and miner whose home is Tombstone, Arizona. Equally, he is an accomplished wildlife and portrait artist and the author of several books, including The Crazy Mule and the Rigor Mortis Bear (nonfiction), The Dance and I Wish I Could Fly (poetry collections). He is a cousin of the renowned Bavarian artist, Beta Hummel, the nun who drew the children depicted in the Hummel figurines.
