The book Twins by Peter Watson was an interesting book about the spooky coincidences between reunited sets of twins, either identical or fraternal. I enjoyed reading the similarities and differences between separated twins, and I also liked how Watson included the arguments and disagreements between the pair, which makes them, seem more like realistic siblings, as it’s easy to be in disbelief with all the spooky similarities. At the beginning of the book, I was so intrigued by the extraordinary similarities that I couldn’t put the book down. I understand that Watson included so many examples of coincidences between twins to prove that there are similarities between separated twins, and that they were all part of a study conducted by Tom Bouchard at the University of Minnesota. I feel the book would have been a little more interesting if Watson had just included the most important similarities between twins, or only incorporated the sets of twins with the most similarities and/or differences. As I continued reading I found myself losing interest in the book quickly. Twins was very lengthy and it is definitely one of those books that you just put aside and never finish. I would recommend this book if you are really interested in the similarities and differences in identical and fraternal twins, but this is not the type of book I would want to read for my own personal leisure.
