## FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. Ms. Eden has written another winner. I adored this book. Both Dean and Emma were terrific characters. And their chemistry was smoking hot. Dean was drool worthy for sure; I loved how fiercely he wanted Emma. As always with one of Cynthia's books, I couldn't put it down. My eyes are burning I'm so tired, but it was worth it. So full of mystery, suspense and a hot romance! For some reason I fell for Jax (sort of a bad guy) while reading this (who am I kidding....Ms. Eden's writing made me fall for him). And when I discovered he's actually going to be in the next book...omg, I had to pre-order. Cynthia, I don't know how you write so many amazing books so quickly but man I'm grateful that you do.

4.25 stars--TWISTED is the second installment in Cynthia Eden’s adult, contemporary LOST romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for LOST (Last Option Search Team). This is former FBI special agent Dean Bannon, and Emma Castille’s storyline. Although TWISTED is the second storyline in the series, it can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from several third person points of view including the killer himself, TWISTED focuses on the search for a serial killer in New Orleans, Louisiana- a man Dean Bannon believed to be dead. Dean Bannon has struggled for five years with the death of an informant caught in a serial killer’s web but with the recent number of missing men and women, Dean believes the killer has returned and has set his sights on Emma Castille. What ensues is a developing relationship between Dean and Emma as Dean convinces Emma that he is her best protection against a psychotic killer. When the FBI become involved things go from bad to worse as Dean’s prior history with the Bureau makes for some unwelcome partnerships and exchange of information. The relationship between Dean and Emma is quick to develop; an immediate attraction between two people whose lives are about to be targeted by a man seeking revenge for the sins of the past. When a woman fitting Emma’s description is attacked and left for dead, Dean and the agents from LOST begin an investigation of their own. The colorful and charismatic secondary characters include the members and agent of LOST: LOST’s owner and lead investigator Gabe Spencer, forensic specialist Victoria Palmer, psychiatrist and profiler Dr. Sarah Jacobs, and former detective Wade Monroe; FBI agents Kevin McCormack and James Elroy, as well as a Julia Finney-the young woman who becomes the target of a serial killer and the FBI. We are also introduced to Jax Fontaine-a hard as nails bad boy, bar owner who has eyes and a protective side for Sarah Jacobs. Jax is introduced as Emma’s ex lover, and his presence adds a little twist of jealousy to Emma and Dean’s relationship. TWISTED is another suspense filled storyline with a ‘twisted’ path to reveal. Although I guessed the serial killer’s identity early on, some readers may be kept in suspense until the clues begin to reveal. Expectation, presumption and the possibility of two killers on the loose, adds another layer of unexpected tension and drama. Cynthia Eden has the ability to connect with her readers; she knows what we like and continues to deliver with every storyline and series

I have never been a fan of thriller romances but Cynthia Eden has convinced me otherwise. This is the second book of the Lost series. I have read both and can't wait to read the next. Twisted is a heart pumping thriller that keeps you enthralled until the very end. Dean is a member of LOST and is in New Orleans looking for a missing 16 year old runaway. Emma performs card readings for people but claims she isn't psychic, she just reads people and she was the last person to see Julia. Dean and Emma team up to find Julia but the madman who took her now has his sights set on Emma and Dean is determined to protect her. While working together their desire and lust for each other turns into a love neither saw coming.

I'm really enjoying the LOST Series and all of the great characters of the organization. The main character in this one was Dean, a former FBI agent and LOST employee, who is in New Orleans to find a runaway teen. During his search, he comes across Emma Castille. Emma believes that something bad has happened to Julia, the teen. Dean is skeptical of Emma due to her unsavory past, but he soon find himself falling hard for this woman. Emma feels the same, but it becomes clear that they are both in terrible danger from the man who took Julia. Dean and Emma were both great characters, and while I thought they developed a relationship quickly after starting with contention between them, I did like them together. I loved Dean's protective instincts toward Emma, and her sweetness and faith in Dean's goodness. The storyline was interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat. There were a few surprises along the way. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. All of the characters of LOST are intriguing, and I'm anticipating learning more about all of them.

What a fantastic book this was! This is turning to be my favorite romantic suspense series by Cynthia Eden, no doubt! The fact that TWISTED happens in New Orleans, a city where the dark has a new and kind of romantic meaning is just a big bonus. I loved every place I could visit in this amazing city with the characters. There's some scenes at a popular and well know cemetery that were so thrilling. Fantastic! Besides it happening in NO, I loved everything in this book: Emma was a wonderful main character, so diferente from Dean and so perfect for him; the plot of the disappearance of a teenager girl and the connection of a criminal to Dean, wow, all was captivating. I'm in love with the entire LOST Team. I found that in TWISTED the team was more real, it was clearer how good a team they are. I tell you: I'm anxious for the next book, especially considering that, in TWISTED, it's clear who are the next romantic couple and it promises great hours of reading.

4.5 stars! A thrilling and exciting story! Twisted by Cynthia Eden is the tale of a search for a missing girl that involves the Last Option Search team (L.O.S.T.) but morphs into a far more sinister and complex case that threatens both those directly involved and the satellite people who are drawn in. Emma Castille has managed to carve a safe niche for herself in New Orleans, until she gets drawn into a case that will require her to not only use her powers of observation but will also cause her to risk everything she values. Dean Bannon has found a way to move on with his life and has found a new profession but he is still overshadowed by his past and his skepticism and distrust make it difficult to accept the attraction he feels for the woman who becomes pivotal to the case he is investigating, if he can keep her alive long enough. There are some stories that draw you in and ratchet up the tension until you are wincing as the action unfolds yet can’t wait to find out how things will turn out. This was one of those, and even better, it was filled with fascinating people who are multilayered, have plenty of demons of their own, yet have an ideal that coerces them to go on, despite the obstacles they encounter. This story stands alone as a compelling and intense thriller that has lots of unexpected twists and turns, yet makes one intrigued enough to look for others in the series. Although there were a few areas that were a bit illogical for me and a couple of areas of predictability, one becomes invested in the story so much that they don’t matter because it’s a great read. Be warned, this is not a tale for those who are squeamish as there is a fair amount of blood and gore, but I definitely want to read the story that started the series and will be anxiously awaiting additional adventures involving these intriguing characters. Emotional, sensual, action packed thrill ride, that pulled me right in from the first words. The story has such an eerie, scary, and a bit creepy start, and that tone holds through the book. The atmosphere is SO intense, when the past demons of the characters, as well as the current evil in the city, are running on their heels. The connection between Emma and Dean is fierce, it's so immediate, it feels like they have known each other forever. The mistrust and doubt between them at the beginning clouds the view of each other, but the attraction has such a strong pull, they seem to be helpless against it. Emma is a refreshing character to get to know, her ability to read people, the way she pays attention, is amazing, admirable. She is bold, saucy, and sassy, a person who has learned to rely only to herself, for a very good reason. Dean is smart, dark, and protective, with secrets of his own. With Emma, he is letting his control go, and learning about dreams of a future, he never even thought about before. The madness and evil are constantly present in the story. Part of the tale is told from the villain's point of view, his hateful, heinous thoughts giving me the chills. The fear he creates around him was nearly suffocating at times. The LOST team is stuck, in what seems like an ongoing nightmare, a hell, a tangled web of dead bodies, motives, and the victims are just piling up. Yet with the brilliant writing from the author, I found myself bursting into a laughter out loud, with the subtle humorist slip from a character at unexpected places and times. Absolutely brilliant, gloomy, sensual story, that I wanted to inhale at one sitting ~ Five Spoons!

Emma can read people. When a young girl comes for a reading and then disappears, Emma looks for her.  Dean works for LOST and happens to be looking for the girl. They work together searching for her. But they think it's a killer from Dean's past. One who is supposed to be dead.  Will they figure it out before it's too late? Fast paced action, edge of your seat suspense and some hot scenes.

I love the vibe and flavors of New Orleans and when I read the blurb of this book, I was really looking forward to reading it. As much as I loved BROKEN, TWISTED completely blew me away and I could not breathe through the tension! I had to skip to the end to find out who the bad guy was! Terrible, I know but I just could not hold out and I read it all in one sitting. Dean Bannon is in New Orleans to find a missing teenager and so far, the only person to have seen her is fortune-teller Emma Castille. In actuality, Emma is not a psychic but has been well trained to pick up cues that the everyday person does not. As his only lead so far, Dean is planning on sticking very close to Emma even though he thinks she is just a con artist, and even more so when Emma's home gets vandalized and she's threatened. Emma and Dean are so alike in so many ways. They are both bold, tenacious and fiercely protective of those they care about. Together, they make a formidable team especially against the villain they are up against. However, the attraction between them could also be their downfall because the killer is wants to hit Dean where it would hurt the most and Emma may be the tool he uses. Emma is my favorite heroine so far this year. She's sassy, fearless, a survivor, a fighter, a warrior and best of all, she lives to shred Dean's ironclad control to pieces! I'm telling you, watching Dean lose control may have been the best thing about this book for me. Not really. Emma knows what she wants and is not afraid to reach out for it. "When you kiss me again, do it right. Kiss me hard and deep, kiss me like you need to have me that very minute. I didn’t spend all this time working to get past your control so that we could go back to the beginning.” Her gaze held his. “I want everything from you, and in return, well, everything is absolutely what I’ll give you.” ... “I won’t break. I won’t even bruise. I can take everything you’ve got—I want it all". I love that she had a skill that she could bring to the team and prove that she has value. It's not just about getting the hot agent for her, but also about finding a place for herself on the LOST team. Even though most of the team did not trust Emma initially, she proves herself to them and also vindicates her late father as well.  Dean initially was not my favorite guy because of how rigid he was but underneath that veneer of control was a very a very primitive man, especially where Emma's well-being was concerned. "Because you are everything that I want, Emma. Every dream I’ve ever had, dreams I didn’t even know about. I look at you, and I want a future. I want a life with you. I can give you time. I can court you, I can do charm, I can do anything for you". With TWISTED, passion, suspense and danger make for very a exciting read and Ms. Eden demonstrates why her writing is so addictive. *I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. I love this series! TWISTED is an amazing, edge of the seat thriller. The experts at LOST are looking for a lost sixteen-year-old girl and she’s believed to be hiding somewhere in New Orleans. Dean Bannon is a tracker by nature and highly-skilled at it from his days with the FBI but when the trail leads him to a beautiful woman who may be his best bet for finding Julia, he has to trust his instincts that she is more than just a con artist. Emma Castille never claimed to be psychic but she has some unique abilities which she has honed into skills that LOST might just find more helpful than anything else at their disposal. Especially when she not only helps them locate the missing girl, but becomes one of the names at the top of a serial killer’s next to die list. Together Emma and Dean battle more than time clicking away, belligerent FBI agents who want to exclude the LOST team, unexpected turns in what they believed to be the truth and what the truth really turns out to be, they must also fight or give in to their growing attraction and feelings for each other. Will Dean lose to a killer again or will he gain it all in the end? All I can really say about TWISTED by Cynthia Eden is WOW! I loved it from the first page to the last even though I had figured out who the bad guy was long before it was revealed, I didn’t care. I was glued to this story, the action, the intensity, the characters, and the suspense. Cynthia has conjured up the most intrinsic, personable, troubled, and perfectly matched team of experts ever in the members of LOST, and she keeps adding to them. I love this series. Cynthia takes us by the hand and journeys us through dark corners of minds, and Big Easy alleys. She keeps us on the edge of our seats with action, danger, and that ever-thrilling wonderful sense of oh my God, what’s going to happen next? I highly, highly recommend you read TWISTED, book two in the Lost series by Cynthia Eden if for no other reason, but to experience the pulse racing expertise of this amazing suspense writer. I can’t wait for SHATTERED, book three. I’m ready for it now! Hurry! ***eARC provided by publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.
