Overview

Sentenced to life in a mental hospital, Lacey spends eight years planning her escape. Once she's on the run, she doesn't want to stop, but a bit of car trouble, and quite a bit of walking, lands her in the town of Moonspell. Get a job, get some cash and get out. That's what she plans, anyway. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans.

Draco Coldstorm can tell the new waitress at the Big Bear Diner is hiding something, he just isn't sure what it is. And since he works for the fire department and not the police department, it isn't his job to figure it out. She may look sweet and innocent with those big blue eyes of hers, but deep down he knows she's trouble with a capital T. But there is something alluring about Lacey, something that calls to him. From the moment he lays eyes on her, the heart he'd thought long dead starts beating again. Not only has Draco the man noticed Lacey, his sleeping dragon is very aware of her, as well.

Praise for Twisted Fate

"...intrigue, betrayal and blackmail, all of which can decide Lacey’s fate. Draco wants to convince Lacey to stay, especially after he finds out why she is on the run. He has a big heart and doesn’t want to startle her. I loved when they finally got together..."

Meet the Author

Jessica Coulter Smith

Jessica lives in a world where warlocks, shapeshifters and fairies exist, and everyone deserves a happy ending -- from tragic vampires finally finding love after centuries of being alone, to super hunky womanizing werewolves finding their destined mate –- it's all in a day's work.

Unable to find a werewolf of her very own, she decided to marry someone who thinks he's one -– minus howling at the full moon, fleas, and a rousing game of chase-the-mailman. Okay, so he sometimes howls at the full moon.

When she isn't writing, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, reading (mostly romance), or going to the beach. She's especially fond of bookstores and Starbucks! Jessica loves to hear from her fans! You may email her at or visit her at her website:

"Smith's wild worlds are remarkable, realistic, and beckon to be explored--just like her heroes! She also paints excellent strong, defiant women, which I can't get enough of in any genre. I don't know where she gets her otherwoldly ideas but I hope they never run out." --Sara Jay

I loved this book! A woman who was framed for a murder and it changed her life forever. A man who is a unique shapeshifter and
always told himself he didnt want to be with someone meet and both of their lives change. This book is shorter than some book, but
every page is filled with love, hope, drama and life. Following the life of a young woman who deserves happiness and a full life and a
gentleman who wants to not only live his life, but when he finds his mate gives her the life she dreams of. Great romance novel!
