    birthday gift

This was the first book my grandson wanted to read from the multiple books he got for his birthday. Interesting, informative while providing the adventure of strong weather and it's wake.
I debated about getting the book because of the devastation a tornado could bring. I don't like the idea of gaping at another's misfortune, but it is also important to understand the true strength of this kind of weather, especially if you live in the midwest.
In the end, the honesty of the danger of being sucked up in a tornado, or hit by debris, won over protecting a seven or eight year old from the realities of life.
