I buy this author's books as soon as they come out His books are usually such a beautiful and heart tugging read, but this book was depressing, long and a boring read. If he needed to get something off his chest, because this sounded personal and bitter, I hate that I had to pay for it!

What happened to the Nicholas Sparks that I used to know and love? This book was negative, depressing and dragged on endlessly. I couldn't have been more surprised.

As an avid Nicholas Sparks reader, another wonderful work of life in its hardest and most difficult situations. I have experienced divorce with young children and loss of a daughter from cancer. Picking up the pieces and continuing to live is the hardest. This book had me bawling over and over.

I pre-ordered this book and it was surprisingly boring. He could have written this story in a chapter. It dragged on endlessly but I read it to the bitter end. Ended so sweet and nice but oh so predictable. The main character had no character or guts and neither did the story.

I really wanted to love this book as I am a Nicholas Sparks fan. I tried. I made it to page 93 thinking it would get better but I'm not sure I can go further. It drags and drags. It is like someone getting up and writing a book about every look move they make. BORING! How many chapters does it take to convince the reader that the main character is having marital problems? Please move on!!

I loved that Nicholas Sparks gave a different feel to this book than his others. Although there are some depressing parts this book is real. It was time for him to change it up a bit and this book exactly that. Another page turner and tear jerker!

I am only on page 54 and being so disappointed with this book so far, I decided to check the reviews to see if I was the only one. I own EVERY book Nicholas Sparks has written and have LOVED every one of them ... except this one. As other reviewers have pointed out - it goes on endlessly and aside from being boring, the main character isn't even someone you can bring yourself to care about! He has no character, guts, personality and how can we as the reader even respect someone who loves and puts up with the wife he's got? Ugh! I'll probably finish it but, it's going to take a whole lot longer to read this one than any prior NS book I've read!

Boring and predictable. You had to read 350 pages before anything interesting happened.

Nicholas Sparks just never disappoints. I devoured this book in five days. I saw Nicholas at a book signing when I was at the two-thirds done with the book point, and he assured me there were a lot of things yet to happen. He wasn't kidding! It would be hard to say a lot about the story line without giving things about the book away, but what I can say is you will love some characters and you will really not like some of them. You will feel like you are watching a movie, Two By Two will draw you in that much. And the book cover, that will become an imprint in your mind. As with all of his books, Nicholas Sparks touches his readers deeply. He is celebrating his 20th anniversary as an author with this 20th novel, and it is a gift to his readers. Get it. Read it. Love it. Thank you Nicholas Sparks.

This book isn't what you would expect from Nicholas Sparks. It's not the epic romance that sweeps you away. It's an every day story, but it's still filled with magic. The lead's wife leaves him, and it becomes a father daughter love story. He has a young daughter (around five years old). He has to take on a lot of her care and comes to realize how wonderful spending time with her is. It's realistic and deals with a lot of real life issues. I wasn't overwhelmed with emotions like I feel during most of his books, but I did become emotionally connected and really liked it.

I am disappointed again. I must confess, that I didn't get past page 48. Some may say that I needed to finish the book to make a review, but I don't like to suffer through a book, when I suffered through the first 48 pages. I've done that too many times, giving it the benefit of the doubt, thinking that it would get better, and still being disappointed. The beginning was not entertaining, and I didn't like how he wrote it in the first person. You might think that I am not a fan, but I absolutely love, "The Last Song," and " The Notebook." And now, we are in the 21st century, so now he is including same sex couples. Sorry, I was disappointed with this book, and, "The Choice." I had to be honest. I read a lot, and I needed to leave this review.
