The author has an accomplished and easy writing style. It still amazes me that Claire is still cranky at Volume 6. Being from America, I am continually surprised that many of the people she encounters on her trip are unfriendly and downright rude, even to one of their own, let alone a foreigner! Is this just her view of people in general or are the British really like this most of the time? The story is very interesting though and the end of each Volume leaves enough of a cliffhanger to leave you wanting to get to the next one asap.

I am anxious to find out what happens! So many true to life experiences for Claire.
