The biracial daughter of an African American father and a Japanese mother fondly recalls growing up with her mother and her father's mother, two very different but equally loving women.

Although our family's circumstances differ from that described in this book, my six-year-old daughter absolutely loved it! It even had her singing 'This little light of mine' around the house for days, and that was quite amusing. We look forward to enjoying more books by this author in the future. Was this review helpful?
