All Music Guide - Johnny Loftus
Two finds vocalist Alex Band and instrumentalist Aaron Kamin ditching their peripheral Calling brethren in favor of going it alone. It's also the follow-up to Camino Palmero, their impossibly successful debut that featured the lite FM hit "Wherever You Will Go." That song's formula is revisited repeatedly here, as Band and Kamin unleash a neutered firestorm of MOR rock. "Our Lives," "Things Will Go My Way," and "Chasing the Sun" all drift straightforwardly between Matchbox Twenty and U2, incorporating elements of both but rarely making much of an impression beyond a resigned sigh. The late-album entry "Dreaming in Red" offers a bit of sass, but not enough to scare anyone....

    Brilliant

Well what can I say “The Calling” have yet again produced a true masterpiece, a new album that is even better then the first “Camino Palmero.” The album TWO has something for everyone whatever mood you’re in, it has your rock and your romantic tunes!!!! My favourite song from this album is “Anything” when you sit and listen to the words you can just imagine it being sung to a loved one, it’s beautiful. And the very romantic “If only” runs a close second. Alex sings it with such passion and emotion. It’s also got your uplifting songs, Dreaming in Red, Our Lives, Chasing the Sun. I couldn’t recommend a better album, so if you liked their last album you will love “TWO”.

    The Calling> A Phenonmenon

Alex Band and Aaron Kamin, although in favour of going it alone without past band members, have once again been able to produced an amazing record!

    Well worth the wait

After the profound effect the first album had on many people, I was dying to hear 'Two.' I wasn't disappointed. Deep melodic and lyrical genius.

    Spectacular!

The Calling is an awesome band! Their music is great and inspirational. Their first cd, Camino Palmero, is so cool. But on Two, they have out done themselves! It truly is an outstanding album! I advise you to buy it, I know you won't be disappointed!

Can't seem to get enough 'Two'!

I wasn't quite sure how The Calling would be able to top 2001's Camino Palmero, but they showed me with 'Two'. This CD not only has outstanding music and vocals, but it also deals with serious issues such as Love in 'Surrender', Abuse in 'Somebody Out There', and Suicide in 'Your Hope'. Overall, this CD has something for everyone. I know I haven't stopped listening to it since I got it on June 8th!

    The best The Calling yet!

The album Two by The Calling was awazing. The Calling is one of those few artists that when you listen to their music, it relaxes you and wakes you up. That might not make sense now, but after you listen to Two, you'll understand.

    Must Buy

"Two" is a great cd. A definite must buy. Alex and Aaron still have the melodies, voices, and messages we came to love in "Camino Palmero", but up the anty with even deeper messages. They address serious issues that everyone has dealt with, with an optimistic out-look that is very inspirational. It brings you up when you're feeling down, instead of taking you down further. I love this cd, and would recommend it to anybody.

    Gorgeous!

This CD is absolutely amazing. The whole album is so easy to listen to, and is packed with gorgeous melodies and stunning lyrics. If you enjoyed the last album, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one to you. In fact, if you've enjoyed any of The Calling's previous stuff, you'll probably love this. All of the songs are amazing but one of my favourites is 'Your Hope'which in some ways is quite similar to 'Stigmatized' on the first album. Basically, i'd recommend this to anyone, and then if you enjoy it, buy Camino Palmero too!

"Two" for Two from The Calling

What a great follow up to Camino Palmero!!! I think that lyrically it is better than CP, and I think that Aaron Kamin & Alex Band have grown so much as song writers. Alex's deep vocals make each song a very moving experience!! This CD is a MUST HAVE for any serious alternative rock music fan!!

    Great CD!!!

I waited a long time for this CD, and it was worth the wait. I like every song on this CD, some more than others(my favorites are "One By One" and "Chasing The Sun"). If you liked CP, you will love "Two".
