Meet the Author

I decided to become a writer at the age of eight, after winning a "Why My Mother is the Greatest" essay contest and having my entry published in a major newspaper. Seeing my words in print was a thrill! But everyone told me it's too hard for novelists to get published, so after college I spent fourteen years as the CEO of my own jewelry store chain before writing my first book. A mistake? Maybe...but my first heroine, Amethyst, was a jeweler, so at least I took advantage of that wise old saying, "Write what you know." And I learned a good lesson: Don't let other people tell you what you can or can't do!

I write humorous historical romance mostly set in England and Scotland in the 17th and 19th centuries (Restoration and Regency periods). I've been oh-so-lucky to see my books hit bestseller lists all over the world, including the New York Times and USA Today lists, and win awards including the Golden Quill and Booklist's Top 10 Romance of the Year, making this second career a real dream come true. I live in Southern California with my family and a constantly shedding cat, and I still think my mother is the greatest!

Intriguing and steamy: These books are a pleasure to read. I love historical romance especially when they are as well written as these. All three stories are wonderful, a chance at true love. I hope you enjoy them every bit as much as I have. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I just love this series which is full of such loving and romance. They are full of such wit, fun, sadness, hope, pain and laughs. It is a wonderful collect I own each separate but wanted to post a review on this box-set. Amethyst Is full of such wit and humor you have to smile as you read it. What a lovely clean and fun read that hooks you from the start. Colin isn’t looking for love the just looking for money. He just doesn’t hold out much hope for love. Amy wants to keep the family business going making jewel but it doesn’t look like she will be getting her dream. It doesn’t look like either will be getting what they want or need. I really love these characters they are warm, loving and caring. I love their humor as they pull pranks on each other and their family. I didn’t care for Amy husband to be he was really a hateful man from the start. These two must deal with a lot of issues from those they must marry who do not understand the word NO. A lot is lost but more is gained as they turn the page to a new and wonderful life where you can have it all. Emerald This is really an emotional read the author gives you a story that as you read you can really feel the characters and become a part of them. Caithrin must find her brother if she hopes to keep the family estate. He must sign the papers or all will be lost to her. On her journey she runs in to a handsome man who mistakes her for the famous bounty hunter. Jason is on a mission of his own he needs help and pulls Caithrin right into the mix. I really enjoyed these characters as the author turn and twist them right into your heart. Forevermore This one really reaches in and grabs your heart. Clarice has had a hard time of it being married at 15 to a man old enough to be her father and learning to deal with all the issues of it. He wasn’t a very nice man but he dies leaving her with no children to love. Having always wished for a child Lord Cainewood brings her a child that needs a home. Clarice is thrilled and takes the little girl in. Cameron is a charmer he lives life as there is no tomorrow. A pond seeing Clarice at a wedding he is attacked to her and takes action in winning over the fair lady driving her fears away as he plans on making her his own. Each one of these stories touches you in a different place in your heart. They are full of humor, love as each work through their issues of sorrow. This really is a wonderful collection to have. I feel sure you will fall in love with each character as I have wanting more. I can’t wait to start the next books in this series.
