Congratulations to Ellen Taber and Polly Cooper for being named Author of the Year by The Georgia Writers Association for this interesting and well-researched book. I didn't know history could be this interesting! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
Read, smile and remember as you recognize the people, places and stories of Tybee as a home and playground for so many.
A must read book that you will revisit again and again and with each visit you will trigger many fond memories.

Tybee Days is a must read for Georgia history buffs and a treat for those looking for an entertaining summer read. Chocked full of funny stories, great photos, and a wealth of history about one of Georgia's most popular barrier island. Talk about local color--this books comes through. Loved Sand Between Our Toes, too.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
This book, and the book that was released with it, Sand Between Our Toes, are fantastic. I had so much fun looking through all of the photos, recognizing names and places ... remembering events and talking with friends over a beer at Docs. What an amazing effort by Island natives Polly and Ellen. I can't believe the treasures they located and put between two covers!
Looking at this book makes me want to load up the car and head for the back river to do some crabbing!
Seriously, if you live on Tybee, used to live on Tybee, spent summers on Tybee, live close, vacationed there, fished the back river, or anything close, you should have a copy of these books on your living room table!
