About the Author

JEAN BETSCHART-ROEMER, M.S.N., C.P.N.P., C.D.E., is a former president of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She is currently a pediatric nurse practitioner in the Department of Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Betschart-Roemer has written a variety of works on diabetes, including In Control, It's Time to Learn About Diabetes, and Diabetes Care for Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers (all from Wiley).
