Ugly Dachshund

( 4 )

Overview

An almost-lost classic, originally published in England and America in 1938, made into an unfortunately forgettable Disney movie in the 1960s, but treasured in worn and threadbare copies by countless animal book aficionados, this is the hilarious story of a befuddled great dane and his unusual dog family.

    Not like the Disney Movie!

The book is so much better. It's teaches a good lesson to children but would be enjoyed by adults as well!

A must-read for any dog owner

I have been searching for 'The Ugly Dachshund' for years after seeing the movie on tv. Owning several dachshunds and a great dane myself, this book really hits home. A true must read for any dog owner or lover!

    For Dachshund Owners Only

When I picked up 'The Ugly Dachshund,' I knew right off the bat this book was for me. As the owner of a couple of Dachshunds, I could relate to some of the scenes in the book. This book is recommended for Dachshund owners everywhere.

This is really a classic and a must-read for all dog lovers. Ski

This is really a classic and a must-read for all dog lovers. Skip the movie and read the book - you'll be glad you did! A more modern book with similar themes that you also might like is "Just Bill" by Barry Knister. Both wonderful books!
