Ukulele Songs for Dummies based on 0 ratings. 3 reviews.
If you're accustomed to using tabs, be aware that there are no tabs in this book. They use chord charts in all of the songs. Personally, I think they are easier to use than tabs, but it's a matter of personal preference. The biggest issue with this book is that most all of the songs have incorrectly printed chords in them! In some cases, it's just the wrong chord, but usually it's a matter of the label saying one thing and the chord diagram right under that showing something else. For instance, the label might say "G7" but the chord diagram is laid out for a Gm7. They put "D" when the chord is a Dm, etc. If you aren't a total beginner, you can probably figure things out, but is it worth it to buy a book that's wrong when you can find dozens of sources for free uke chords online? I like the songs and the overall format of the book, but was surprised to see this level of poor proofreading/testing from a book in the "Dummies" series.
Music sheets are to small to read on my Nook. I have tried everything to enlarge them but nothing works making this book a waste of money for nook users.
Our Ukulele club is using this book as text book. All members are going to order the book so we can study for each weeks get together. Then discuss difficulties, etc.
