    Waste of time and money

The kit didn't include all of the pieces (only enough wheels for 4 cars). The wheel mechanisms for 3 of the 4 cars didn't work. Once we finished building the cars (which was difficult even for adults due to small pieces and flimsy paper), only 1 of 4 worked due to the wheels. Waste of money and major disappointment for the kids.

The instructions in this book are very hard to follow. There are many slots and parts that need to be attached together, all needing a high level of dexterity not found in the adults or children in our house! We found that the illustrations do not always match up with the actual pieces, making the assembly that much harder. The biggest problem, however, is that the pieces themselves, while maybe fine in concept, are made of paper that is just not strong/reinforced enough to hold up to the pushing required to put the one part through the slot of the other part. We even tried gently enlarging the slots in some, but still ended up with bent and/or torn pieces. There are slots and tabs all over the product, so really hard. We tried taping those that did make it through intact, but even so, the robot bodies are falling apart. Sadly we have not achieved one robot that works. Sadness for our son, who was greatly looking forward to the robots battling, and frustration for the parents, who have done their best to meet their son's expectations but who have failed, in no part for lack of trying!
