Overview

It's not quite the ultimate, but it's close. A Teena Marie album that doesn't include "Deja Vu (I've Been Here Before)," "Dear Lover," and "Out on a Limb" doesn't merit the ultimate tag, but still, there are plenty of goodies. The soulful Lady T will bring you to tears on "Young Love," "My Dear Mr. Gaye," and "Irons in the Fire"; she remains as effective on upbeat rockers like "I Need Your Lovin'," "Work It," and "Square Biz."
