I am a "retired" dancer and had begun to put on quite a few pounds after having my daughter. I knew that I needed to change my eating habits and get back onto an exercise routine. My husband is a finicky eater and my 5 year old daughter does not need to diet so I needed something that fit my family not just me. "The Ultimate Diabetes Meal Planner" did just this. My husband's low-carb preferences fit right in to the planner and it gave me excellent ideas on well rounded meals. I love the fact that it even gives you a shopping list for the week. The meals are delicious and easy to prepare. Even my daughter enjoys the meals. This book not only fits into my new eating and being healthy lifestyle...it is the corner stone of it!

I must say I have enjoyed this cookbook. It's not just a cookbook but very educational in dealing with diabetes and also in lowering your cholesterol. Sugar is one of the other major causes to higher lipids in cholesterol. After fighting more than a year with cutting out animal fats that are in cheese, meats and many other things, my doctor told me I should start looking at the sugar in my diet. I found out about Jaynie Higgins book through friends and bought the cook book for myself. After 90 days of watching my sugar levels, my cholesterol has lowered 40 plus points. Everyone's body reacts differently from sugar. The amazing other thing was after using this cookbook I found I had more energy. I've rated this book very high and this book is also approved by the American Diabetes Association. I give this book five stars rather you are dealing with diabetes or high cholesterol.

Hello all, My name is Daniel Millett, when I first herd of this I figured, what the heck, lets try anything. I am 25 years old, 6'1.5'', and I weigh 213.5 LBS. My body fat %22. The really amazing thing is, when I started this, I weighed over 270 LBS, with a percentage I willing forget of body fat. I have been training for practically two years, and I am a true testimony that Jaynie's program has transformed my life beyond the physical. My mind has even changed the way I use to think about every day. My confidence and self-worth has soared to levels unexplainable and my outlook on food has taken on a whole new meaning.... I'm stronger, have more energy and have maintain an interest in life wellness for over two years and have never had "Diabetes"! I have learned there is no magic way to become a healthier person, or to get into shape. It takes hard work, and determination. This is the way to do it folk, I am proof. You can look the way you want to, and it will not be easy, but this tool will make it easier then you ever thought.

My husband was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I was at a loss as far as knowing exactly what he should or should not eat. This meal planner has 4 weeks of meals planned out for each season and includes the recipes and nutrition information. After only a couple of weeks of following the plans, it has introduced us to a variety of delicious things we hadn't eaten before. It helps you learn to cook in a more health conscious way, and have fun doing it.
