Ultimate Dump Cake Recipes: Bake Cakes the Easy Way [NOOK Book]

Overview

What’s a dump cake? Generally, you take the ingredients, dump them in the pan, pop it in the oven and you’re done after about 5 minutes of prep time. One of the best things about making dump cakes is that you don’t have to worry about dirtying up mixing bowls nor do you have to worry about measuring ingredients because you can start with a boxed cake mix (and if you’d rather make your own cake mix, I’ve got you covered). It’s a fast, easy way to bake a cake. Kind of like cobbler for the lazy. Oh, I forgot to ...

Oh, I forgot to mention that it’s also absolutely delicious.

If you’re wondering what the big deal is and you’re thinking a cake is just a cake, then you haven’t actually had a dump cake. A dump cake is nothing like a regular cake. It’s crispy on top and the flavor is beyond anything that I can describe in words. Either because they haven’t invented the words yet or because my vocabulary isn’t big enough and I don’t know the words. Either way, it’s my favorite dessert. To say I’m a fan is an understatement.

So what do you get in this book?

You get over 30 dump cake recipes. And unlike some other dump cake cookbooks you may find, it isn’t full of the same recipes. For example, some cookbooks may just have recipes that look like this: apple dump cake, cherry dump cake, pineapple dump cake, etc. While these taste good, they’re kind of boring and unoriginal.
Some of the dump cakes in my cookbook are:

Cherry Chip Dump Cake
Peachy Cream Dump Cake
Banana Chai Latte Dump Cake
Ottoman Dump Cake
Raspberry Whopper Dump Cake

No “cherry only” dump cake to be found. Now, don’t get me wrong, I actually love cherry dump cake but it doesn’t belong in my cookbook because it’s a no brainer. I wanted to give you more unique recipes that you aren’t likely to find in every other dump cake cookbook.

In addition, this book is more than just recipes. I tell you how to come up with your own variations, so if cherries really are your thing, you’ll know how to throw together your own cherry dump cake. I give you a recipe for a cake mix that can be used to make dump cakes or regular cakes, for those who don’t want to use a ready made cake mix. In Dump Cake Basics, I give you a walk through (with pictures) of how to make your cake. You’ll also learn how to convert regular dump cake recipes for the slow cooker and vice versa. In addition, I give you a recipe for a delicious maple topping that can be used on just about any dessert.

This is definitely more than “just” a cookbook.
