The Ultimate Guide to Choosing a Medical Specialty gives a great overview of nearly every residency in medicine. This book stands apart from other medical specialty books because it is written by residents for future residents; therefore, it gives a very personal in depth view of what the residency is about, what type of person would do well in this residency, the pros and cons of the residency, the fellowships associated with that residency, the mean salary in that profession, and the average USMLE Score required to get into the residency. The book is simple and easy to understand. It also covers how to prepare to get a residency and the processes of apply to residencies. I highly recommend this book for any premedical and medical students.
