Ultimate Oldies But Goodies Collection

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - James Christopher Monger
Time Life Music's three-disc, 45-track Ultimate Oldies But Goodies Collection covers a wide breadth of music from the 1950s and early '60s. Peppered throughout with obvious gems like "The Great Pretender" (the Platters), "Summertime Blues" (Eddie Cochran), and "(We're Gonna) Rock Around the Clock" (Bill Haley & His Comets), the collection does a great job weaving in less ubiquitous cuts like Dale Hawkins' "Susie-Q" and Marv Johnson's "You Got What It Takes," resulting in one of the more solid oldies overviews on the market.
