Ultimate Pittsburgh Trivia not the final answer!

I focused on the sports questions in the book and came away disappointed with items that were not included and glaring inaccuracy. Duquesne University Basketball has a long and storied tradition but there was no mention of Duquesne great Norm Nixon and his professional career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Another ommission was the fact that in 1955 the Duquesne Dukes won the equivalent of the national championship in basketball basketball by defeating Dayton in the finals of the National Invitational Tournament. The NIT was 'the' tournament at that time.

Inaccuracy came at the expense of Pittsburgh native Johnny Unitas. In the same trivia question Unitas was said to have played quarterback for St. Justine High School (the correct word is St. Justin) and that he also played quarterback for the semi-pro team the Bloomfield Moose. Unitas played for the Bloomfield Rams not the Moose.

Information such as this is easily found on the internet, so research and checking for accuracy was lacking. This is not to take away from the hundreds of questions and facts about Pittsburgh that are contained in the book but 'ultimate' it is not.
