    Sigh

I had high hopes for this story arc seeing as to how Cable would make an appearance. (Cable being the son of Scott Summers and Jean Grey¿s clone from the future ¿ at least in the mainstream books.) So I was looking forward to some time-traveling action and how Cable would interact with Scott and Jean. But of course, this is the Ultimate universe and things aren¿t always what they seem. This version of Cable isn¿t related to any the X-Men, and when I learned who he actually was, I was disappointed. It felt like a letdown. The writing was also a point of concern for me. Everything¿s fine when the X-Men are sitting around and watching TV ¿ the dialogue¿s fine there. But as soon as the action starts up, things get silly with lines such as ¿I'm not stopping until you¿re dust!¿ And the art isn¿t that good either. Everyone looks fat and blocky and about 80 years old with a face full of wrinkles. Thankfully, the artists change halfway through the book and things get better. All in all, this book was average. I saw all the ¿plot twists¿ coming, but I do think it will lead to interesting places.
