Description: This ultrasound teaching manual is unique in that readers can use every page as a quiz to test their knowledge. The previous editions were published in English in 1999 and 2005.
Purpose: The purpose is to teach the physical principles and techniques of diagnostic ultrasound.
Audience: This manual is written for students, residents, nurses, MDs, sonographers, etc. Any healthcare professional would benefit from this well-written and well-illustrated instruction manual.
Features: Succinct and to the point, this manual covers all body systems and includes excellent illustrations. The ability to watch online, dynamic video sequences of physicians performing ultrasound scans on abdominal organs and vessels allows learners to view the examination techniques in detail.
Assessment: This manual enables readers to integrate new material in a very interactive manner. The illustrations are very good and the supplementary online videos are a nice feature. This is a good resource for all health professionals.
