Unbound (The Captive Series Book 7) based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
What a bittersweet story. An end to an era of storytelling. I devoured this book, it is the best way to describe it. We got to revisit characters we love. See how they have come along in life. We also lose some of our friends but such is life. And Erica understands this. Her books are so much like "real" like the real world. We fall in love all over again with friends from the very first book Captured. Aria and Braith. One of my favorite literary couples. A few other friends are here too, William, Daniel, Max, Ashby. Was lovely to see them again. There is a lot of action, love, fighting, and tears. Yes, grab the Kleenex. You'll need them. I am sad to see the end of the story but excited for what will come from this brilliant author. If you have not read the series, ( and why haven't you, huh?? ) grab it and this book and weekend reading solved. And as always, you're welcome. Enjoy.
The Perfect Conclusion to a Captivating Series The Captured series truly did just that -- captivated my heart. Years ago, Erica Stevens was one of the first indie authors I stumbled across with my newly acquired iPad, and I never looked back. I can’t begin to tell you the number of times I’ve gone through this series both reading and listening to the available audiobooks. Aria and Braith, along with their friends and family, feel like good friends. Friends you want to see triumph and find peace and happiness. UNBOUND is truly the perfect conclusion. I experienced so many emotions while reading this book. Joy, fear, suspense … sorrow, hope, satisfaction, happiness … I could go on. VENGEANCE introduced us to an enemy no one believed existed with power that rivals even Braith’s. The ending to book 7 left us exactly where we needed to be for UNBOUND to take place. The tension is high, emotions are near the surface, and vampires and humans alike are poised to defend who and what they love no matter the sacrifice. My heart starts racing even thinking back over the story I just read. I had a true book hangover after finishing, and I can’t wait to read this book again! UNBOUND isn’t just the conclusion of Braith and Aria’s story, but the culmination of a world fighting for peace and equality despite differences. From Braith and Aria’s discovery of their bloodlink to the epic conclusion in UNBOUND, I’ve experienced a range of emotions and lived many lives through the amazing characters. I trusted Erica to take us on a journey, and she truly did. Eight books was the perfect number to introduce a group of characters that would forever be part of my book family. I can return to their stories time and again, and return I will. Thank you, Erica, for stepping out with that first book and making us fall in love with a fiery, auburn-haired girl that would take down a regime -- beginning with her capture.
