After reading this particular novel, I soon felt dissapointed. I felt like my IQ level dropped 10 points. The word choice is plain and more of the level of a child, not a young adult. The plot was predictable (ALWAYS "saving" Jennie's life) and unoriginal, (like a bad twilight knockoff) and very far fetched. Female president, really?
But, like with all practice, her next book has the potential for improvement.

Not a bad read

This was an okay book. I'm not huge into romance, but I liked the premise of a guardian angel. I'm sure many of my female junior high students are going to fall in love with this book.

An inspiring Lovestory!

Ok, this book really didn’t have to be labeled a paranormal romance, the angel theme is just a subcontext, for me this book is a young adult in itself needing no angel-theme attached…

The angel story isn’t really talked detail by detail in the book, it adds spice and keep you reading.. it points why Jennie and Nate’s love is forbidden, but what captures me is the fullness of the characters and the flow of the story itself… it doesn’t delve deep into the paranormal thought, which makes this book real, and made you wish for this kind of love to exist.

I especially love the ending, it’s a rather weird for a story to end, but I smiled and fell in love with them both. And Ms. Carling wonderfully showed us the reality of life that we should let go of some things which are not meant to stay and deal with the consequences of our decisions.

This book, put me in a roller-coaster of emotion, one time I’m laughing with them, another I’m annoyed at fate, and there’s times I cried, and felt goosebumps all-over..

Unbreakable Love, is a love-story anyone would dream of, it’s an amazing story of love that would stand even fate and heaven itself… I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed sweet romance with bits of an angel!..:)

Unbreakable Love Review

Judging by the cover, I automatically thought this was a YA contemporary novel. However, this book actually has a really good blend of contemporary and paranormal. It explores the idea of guardian angels without going too crazy into the paranormal world, which I thought was something kind of new and refreshing. I suppose it made it a little more realistic, as if this actually could happen to you. So if paranormal seems a little far-fetched for you but you'd like to see what all the hype is about...this would be a good starter novel!

Nate is Jennie's guardian angel, sent to protect her in the most volatile season of her life. However, what the high hosts were thinking when they sent a hot angel dude down to protect a vulnerable teenage girl, I'll never know!!! See, the rule is as a guardian angel you can't touch your protectee and you most definitely CANNOT fall in love with them. Yet, Nate must somehow fit into Jennie's world...become her best friend...so that when the moment comes he can protect her from death. Unfortunately, the imminent attraction between Nate and Jennie puts everything at risk.

And Nate...definitely my favorite character in the book!!! I really loved how he, though a guardian angel, had very human emotions. I felt like I really got to know Nate, even more than I knew Jennie. His desire to do his job, knowing the end result if he didn't, yet at the same time not being able to control his feelings and wanting out of the assignment showed how honorable a man (or angel) he was. I definitely would love to have someone like Nate as my guardian angel!

This is a super-fast paced novel, which kind of bothered me at first, but it made for a quick, exciting read. It's one of those books that'll just take you a day (a weekend at the most) to devour. And plus, in a market where series and trilogies dominate, this is a stand alone novel. A definite plus when you're looking for that quick read in the midst of your crazy busy life!

Last of all, if you're looking for a clean read, put this one in your TBR pile. This awesome romance is completely satisfying without all the super-touchy-bare skin-feely scenes that are becoming so prominent in YA lit these days!

A Must Read YA

Unbreakable love was a classic story of how love conquers all! While angels have become a very popular topic to write about, Carling puts her on little twist on the story. Nate is put in Jennie’s life to protect her for a tragedy that is soon to come. While Angels have some pretty awesome perks Nate must follow many rules.
1. He can’t touch Jennie skin to skin.
2. He can’t reveal what he is.
3. He can't Fall in Love.
4. He can’t have pets.
5. He can’t keep evidence of past jobs.
…and the list goes on and on.
But as the reader finds out, Nate isn’t great at playing by the rules.
Jennie has recently been hurt by her ex and hasn’t had the best luck with men in general, so when she meets Nate she is suspicious of this handsome guy who claims to only want her friendship. Nate eventually proves himself by saving her life one night at a party and from that moment on, that are inseparable. As their friendship grows Jennie realizes she has stronger feelings for Nate than an average friend, but does Nate love her back?
Nate has been an angel for decades and has never fallen for one of his assignments before…so why is Jennie different? Nate struggles with his feelings for Jennie and her family but is under strict supervision from Celeste, his snarky and intimidating boss. As the story progresses you begin to learn about the strict world the guardian angels live in and even some secrets about Celeste’s past even Nate wasn’t expecting.
The characters were very developed and engaging. You will fall in love with Jennie’s kindness, laugh at Celeste’s dry humor and feel sorry for Nate as he struggles with the right thing to do. My favorite part about the book is the main characters don’t fall in love at first sight. While becoming friends right away Nate and Jennie take their relationship slow and the book takes place over many months. Sometimes I get tired of the clichés a love story involves, with the fast romance and happy endings. Unbreakable Love also breaks the other cliché by having a rather tragic, bitter sweet ending.
Readers will love to cuddle up with this book and take in the romance. I really hope to read more from this author!

Awesome!!!!! Totally worth your money and then some!

This book was very hard to put down! It has a great story line and every character keeps you guessing! Such a wonderful story of forbidden love. I cant wait for the next book written by Angela! Way to go........

Sweet love story

I really enjoyed this love story. It was sweet and honest and a little paranormal. It deals with high school but isn't too high schooly for adults. It foreshadows an event that you know is coming but is still heartbreaking when it comes. Angela has written a great story about true love and I look forward to future books from her.
