Meet the Author

Stephanie Spadaccini has been a crossword puzzle constructor for 30 years. Her puzzles have appeared in Modern Maturity, People magazine, The New York Times, Simon & Schuster Crossword books, the Wall Street Journal, InStyle magazine, and a score of other publications. She is well known in the field and counts the top puzzle editors and constructors among her friends—Will Shortz of the New York Times among them. Stephanie was GAMES Magazines' reigning trivia quiz queen for the eight years she worked there. She has written for numerous TV game shows, including Jeopardy!, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Think Twice, College Bowl, and High Rollers. Stephanie started editing crossword puzzles and writing trivia quizzes at GAMES Magazine in the early 1980s. Later, as the magazine's managing editor, she had the typical responsibilities of managing staff; evaluating ideas for features, puzzles, quizzes, and contests; working with authors and agents on acquisition and editing; and making sure that deadlines and time schedules were met. And she wrote and/or edited all feature trivia quizzes.

Accually, this was a gift to my mother who is an avid puzzle fan. She enjoyed all the books my family had given her (which were purchased at Barnes and Noble). I didn't get to ask about this one in particular yet; but if she didn't like it, she would have said so.

We listened to this on a long 4 hour drive, this definitly made the ride go a lot "quicker" then usual for us. It is amazing the things you learn, so many tidbits of info...

I have purchased the Uncle John's Bathroom series several times for my husband and he seems to enjoy them.

My family and I were going to travel by van to New Jersey to visit family. I wanted a puzzle book to switch up with reading during the long trip. I looked at crossword, find-a-word and several other books and couldn't settle on just one genre. When I found this book, although not fond of the name of the book, I was thrilled to death! There were puzzles for everyone and we were even able to do a couple with the whole group! Can't wait to do another one - I'm not going to wait for the next road trip either!

When you are on the throne, you need some wisdom to fall back on, comes specially equipped with a built in jester. I'm sold on the entire series.

I think the book is fabulous -- but then, I edited it. And my name is spelled SPADACCINI -- not SPADACEINI. Glad to see it's available! Thanks, Stephanie Spadaccini
