This is the second book in the Uncle Rocky series. In this book, Uncle Rocky feels there is something missing at the station, but he can't put a finger on what it is. His nephews come to the station for a visit and help Uncle Rocky figure out what us missing. This series is based on bedtime stories the author told his own sons. I am glad he chose to write them so that I can now share them with my boys. The stories are fun, the illustrations are great, and there is a fun action sequence that involves putting on the turn-out gear. My boys look forward to each new story. They even take the books to bed with them. I have already recommended these books to my friends and now recommend them to you. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review which I have given.

What's Missing at the Fire Station?
By Karen Carmody on November 2, 2014
Uncle Rocky has a mystery to solve. He feels like something is missing at the fire station. He just can't figure out what it is. His thoughts are interrupted by a visit from his young nephews. Towards the end of the visit, his youngest nephew, Luke, helps Uncle Rocky discover what is missing. I'm not going to give the mystery away but I will tell you that this book is quite entertaining. There are things in the book, as in the first one, that the kids can act out. They can pretend they are sliding down a pole and don't forget Uncle Rocky's signature move as he says, "Glad to do it!" You don't know what his signature move is? Well, I guess you better pick up the first book to find out what it is.

Uncle Rocky Fireman Something's Missing Book #2 is back at it sharing his values and regard helping others. Luke and Ben get to interact with the other firemen. Uncle Rocky definitely takes an interest in his two nephews, taking time to share his supper with them and listen to what has been going on in their lives. The two boys are great listeners and helped Uncle Rocky to solve the mystery on what was missing at the fire station. Once again, they were "Glad to do it"! The two boys are lucky to have Uncle Rocky's influence in their lives. The illustrations in this book is amazing! Looking forward to reading the next book!
