I read the entire book, front front to back without ever putting it down

I was absolutely shocked by the twist. I never saw it coming. I hope Fred Waltz writes another book, and that it is as captivating as this one, because I can't wait to read it

    This book was excellent

I loved this book. The characters were so life like, I immediately identified with Cindy. Fred Waltz's writting style was very good, he kept his chapters short and to the point and interesting. He kept me guessing at each page turn. And the plot twist was surprising and incredible, I had to go back and start reading again, just to make sure that it was true.

    You gotta read this book!

I wish that I would have started reading earlier in the evening, because I did not want to put the book down to go to bed. This is the fastest I have ever read a book in my life, I finished it in two days. I was completely caught off guard by the plot twist, I hope nobody gives it away! Amazing book, I absolutely reccomend it!!!

    I Also Recommend:

    WOW!

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I identified with and found the characters believable, I thought that the plot was very compelling and kept me turning the pages. Surprised doesn't do justice to how I felt when I realized the "big twist". I am already looking forward to Mr. Waltz's next book, and wish him luck on topping this one.

    A Must Read!

In his debut book, Fred Waltz grabs the reader by the arm and takes them on a roller coaster ride full of thrills, chills, and twists. From the first paragraph, the characters and plot engage the reader as you find yourself unable to put the book down. Waltz nicely blends mystery, drama, and suspense into this novel that will keep you asking questions and frantically turning the pages to find out what will happen next. As soon as you finish the book, you will find yourself picking it back up for a second read!

    Excellent Read!

A friend of a friend suggested this book. I started reading, and could not put it down! I read it straight through, without stopping. I loved the short chapters and the believable characters. Mr. Waltz really hit a "home run" with Unconditional, and it certainly lived up to the advertised plot twist. Two thumbs way up!!

    Fantastic Book

I was turned on to this book from a discussion group that I monitor. I had never heard of the Author, Fred Waltz, so pulled up the book and read a couple of the reviews, and decided to give it a try. I was initially disappointed when I started reading it, and notice a grammatical error in the first sentence of the first chapter. I almost put it down, but decided to keep reading. I am so glad I kept reading. Unconditional is a great story, with real life characters, facing real life situations. I loved all of the different sub plots, and how they all eventually tied together. The ending was a complete surprise, and a real tearjerker. I absolutely loved style, the short, flowing chapters reminded me of a James Patterson book. As far as I can tell, this is the only book by Fred Waltz (I cannot find anything else), but I sure hope he writes another.

    Very engaging Plot

I was very impressed with the originality of the plot. I was somewhat disapointed that Mr. Waltz chose not to continue some of the minor character's plot-lines, but other than that I enjoyed the book. I was not "so surprised" by the plot twist, I had my suspicions, but was not 100% sure. Overall I would rate Unconditional a very good read!

    Materful Story Telling

Fred Waltz has created a masterful blend of mystery and suspense. Clear cut heroes and villians, with a well crafted expansion of the traditional good vs. evil plot. The characters were artfully created and developed. You will have no trouble loving Cindy and Bruce, and hating Sam and Ray. I loved the fact that Waltz used a real location (Brighton CO) for his story, but took liberal creative rights by adding fictional locations. I was certain that I had figured out the advertised plot twist at about the half way point of the book. Was I ever surprised when it was unveiled, very surprising and creative, I never would have guessed. I re-read the book after I finished, and it was an eye opening experience; each time I read one of the many clues that Waltz gave I thought, "how did I miss this?" This story was fantastic from beginning to end. I'll definitely read Fred Waltz's next book!

    Fantastic Book, Unexpected Ending

Wow, what an outstanding book. The characters are so “life like”. I hope that Ray was not based on a real person…too scary. The plotline was very engaging; I couldn’t wait to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. The ending completely tricked me, I was not expecting it, and never saw it coming. I would certainly recommend this to anyone that is a fan of suspense and mystery; and there is just the right amount of “sappy love story” mixed in. The afterword completes the book, but it does give away the plot twist, (the author really should have warned readers about this!) so do not skip it, but read the book first.
