Editorial Reviews

I wish there were a sequel to this book. I really enjoyed it. I liked the setting it was in without going into too much historic detail.

It was a lovely book that really took me back in history. I felt like I was there. Really.
The unexpected love that was stronger than their circumstances was heart touching and heart wrenching (but I don't want to spoil the story). We all have struggles in our life. It is encouraging to see someone persevere through the struggles of life and embrace the moments of joy. I highly recommend this book.

Meet the Author

Born and raised in Rockledge, Florida, Jennings spent her early years reading anything she could get her hands on, when she wasn't spending time in and on the water. She won a prize in the 6th grade for her writing.

Jennings attended the University of Tampa, graduating with a B.A. in Political Science, and almost enough credits for B.A.s in both English and History. She spent time over the years doing various kinds of script doctoring, business writing, editing, and teaching writing, but mostly having and raising her family, homeschooling her children, owning and running a business with her husband, and starting a non-profit to Uganda.

Thanks to a crazy idea called NaNoWriMo, Jennings got back into creative writing in 2011 and hasn't stopped since. She's written three novels and a screenplay, with more ideas on the drawing board. She currently lives in North Carolina with her husband, a political writer, and two children, and travels extensively.

    Review:

"Undaunted Love" by Jennings Wright was a good Christian historical romance read that was set in the backdrop of the 'Civil War.' So, be ready for a wonderful love story, 'Civil War,' along with corruptions and murder. This author did a good job as the novel is 'highly detailed' as the writer captured every moment of these couples journeys thorough their relationships. It was good to see how this author presented "Undaunted Love" with all the things going on 'they held their obligations to God and respectfully acknowledging him as head of their relationships.' The characters were all very well developed and many showed much faith in those trying times. If you are looking for a good rich rad with lost of twist and turns that will only give you a good read, I would recommend "Undaunted Love" to you.

This book was an interesting read. Not usually a book I would pick up but for those who enjoy romance, and war books will defiantly enjoy this one. I’m not a history buff so here and there I had to look up some things concerning the Civil War. Although there was limited speech, I enjoyed the personalities the characters portrayed. Especially for Rafe and Livvie, I was able to feel their sadness and their happiness.
