Under One Sky: Native American Flute & Rhythm

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stacia Proefrock
This compilation orbits around the new age genre while integrating folk, rock, electronic, and traditional Native American music. The central instrument is always the Native American flute, adorned by background music that is sometimes gracefully subtle and other times richly ornate. The music itself can be a bit uneven, with strong pieces from the likes of Robert Mirabal juxtaposed with cheery fare by Gary Stroutsos that seems to lack originality. Overall, though, this collection seems to be a notch higher than its competition and does do a good job of maintaining its mood throughout.

    Native American Great!

I especially like this album, because besides being Native American in style, it has a selection of different artists which adds a nice blend of noticable differences that albums by only one artist can lack. These are very beautiful, happy, yet relaxing songs. Nice picks! Well done!
