Meet the Author

Helen Thomas married Edward Thomas (1878-1917) in 1899. In order to support his family, Edward became a prolific writer of essays, introductions, reviews, biographies, and studies of the English and Welsh countryside. Thomas's meeting with Robert Frost in 1913 was the catalyst for his turning to poetry. His first collection was published in 1917, six months after his death in the Arras offensive. Helen was untiring in her efforts to make his work known, and lived to see it firmly established in the cannon of English poetry. They had three children, of whom Myfanwy (b.1910) is the youngest.

    Rosesky and Jaybreeze

    Rosesky cheered loudly. Jaybreeze peeked out of the warrior's den smiling jouyously at his new clan. He would've shouted if the pain from his injuries wasn't so bad.

    &starf Cometstar~Ceremony &starf

    I apologize for my absence!))
    <br>
    <p>
    Cometstar lept onto Sky Branch, his gaze sweeping across the camp. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Sky Branch for a clan meeting!" He yowled. He paused and waited for the clan to gather. "It has come to my attention that Dawnpaw is in need of a warrior name." He meowed. He waited again for a tiny bit. "Dawnpaw, please step forward." Cometstar summoned. "StarClan, this young cat has trained hard in your ways to understand the warrior code. I wish to give her the name of a warrior to follow in your footsteps." He said, his chin raised to the sky. "Dawnpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect this clan, egen at the cost of your life?" He meowed, turning to Dawnpaw. (Insert "I do" here!) Cometstar nodded approvingly. "Then by the power of my warrior ancestors, this cat will now be known as Dawnripple!" He shouted. He touched noses with the newly made warrior. "Congratulations." He whispered. "Meeting dissmissed." He added, leaping from Sky Branch.
