I was suspicious when I got the book, and my thoughts were confirmed. Even though this writer's name is like that of the Stout of Nero Wolfe invention, the prose is not.

Possibly the worst book ever written... and Rex Stout is my favorite author!

This is the same Rex Stout that wrote the Nero Wolfe books but it was written 20 years before Nero Wolfe

This story is somewhat amusing. The characters are not very believable but it is easy reading. The por femme fatale of the story spent most of her existance in a faint or in need of rescuing. This is most appropriare for young readers
