Under the Milky Way
A man hits a deer while driving down a desolate stretch of country road. When he gets out to survey the damage he finds that the deer is still alive, but with the extent of its injuries, it will soon be dead. The man feels a connection to the dying animal and sits next to it along the side of the road to keep it company as it draws its last breaths. As he sits he begins to reflect on the last moments of a recent break-up with his girlfriend and finds the connection with the animal growing more and more curious.
