In The Middle Of The Night, The Sisterhood Is Your Only Hope

A Sister’s work is never done—not when there are wrongs to right and underdogs to defend. Just returned to their mountaintop hideaway after their latest successful mission, the seven fearless friends enjoy a celebratory dinner and retire to bed. But within an hour, an alarm sounds, and the ladies rush into the compound in time to see Myra and their mentor, Charles, climbing aboard a helicopter. All that’s left is a mysterious note, signed by Charles.

Still reeling, the Sisters receive an urgent call from retired justice Pearl Barnes. Pearl runs an underground railroad to help abused and displaced women, and she’s just rescued fourteen pregnant teenagers who belong to a highly secretive and controversial polygamy sect. But keeping the girls safe will require the kind of help only the Sisterhood can provide—if they can band together and go it alone...

I have become obcessed with reading all the "Sisterhood" books. Got started somewhere in the middle of the series and then went back to the beginning and now wait impatiently for each new one to be published. The story line is very catching and the details of the characters are great. In "Under the Radar" the story line and the characters have matured and the ending, of course, leaves an opening for the next book. Fern Michaels tells just enough about the characters previous exploits to get your interest and then leads you into the story. Highly recommend this book.

Did not enjoy! Had so many characters i could not keep up with who was who. I wondered if this book was a followup to another book. It kept refering to the past of characters.

Under the Radar shows that women can adapt to mmost situtatioss if they stick together. Rational thinking is critical to any great plot. The sisters jumped in with both feet and solved their problems and take care of busines. Adding many plot twists keep it worth reading the next installment. Even though its a story I feel like I,m part of everything. I can see the leaves falling, feel the cold and the hard work of snoe shoveling etc. Fern Michaels bring life to her novel and makes you feel you are part of it all, THANKS FERN!!!! Barbara Pilla

Fern Michaels has done it again. This book was better than the last one -Under the Radar. I just love the characters and how they are willing to stand up for justice to those that really deserve it. As more and more people become involved with each saga there is more tension between everyone. I did feel very sad that Charles was not part of this book but it shows that the girls can pull anything off that they put their minds to. I hope in the next series that Myra and Charles are reunited as they were both so happy. This is a good book to sit down and relax to over a weekend and I highly recommend this book. But, be sure you read the other 12 series to get a full picture of how everyone comes into play in each saga.

After the success of their FINAL JUSTICE mission, the seven Sisterhood members return to their mountaintop retreat looking forward to some R&R. One hour later before anyone can fully settle back, the alarm rings. The women react instantly only to their shock mentor Charles and Myra leave together by copter. He leaves behind an enigmatic note for the team. Almost immediately after the helicopter lifts off, retired judge Pearl Barnes needs their help. She has rescued fourteen pregnant teens from a polygamous sect and needs the Sisterhood to finish their trip to safety. The teammates set forth as they fully support Pearl's Underground Railroad that rescues abused females, but also fear their first project sans Charles. By removing the mentor for most of the story line, Fern Michaels refreshes her Sisterhood saga as they are on their own for the first time after a dozen previous adventures with Charles available. The Story line is fast-paced from the moment that Pearl calls for their help and never slows down as they try to keep the teens safe. With echoes of the Texas raid last year, fans of the saga will appreciate Fern Michaels' latest twist. Harriet Klausner
