Meet the Author

Matt Leon is a sports anchor/reporter for KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia and has worked for the top rated station since March of 2002. A graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, his radio career has also taken him to York, Hanover and State College in Pennsylvania and Jefferson City in the great state of Missouri. A lifelong sports fan, he's known that radio was his future since doing his own play-by-play of Phillies games into a tape recorder at the age of 8. This is his first foray into the written word. Matt resides in Clayton, NJ.

    What garbage!

    This was the worst sports book I've ever read...and I've read hundreds.

    The stories were boring and the writing was awful! Has this guy ever written a book before?

    Hopefully he doesn't write another one!

    Great All Around Sports Book

    This book is a very well written, well thought out collection of stories that you are not likely to find anywhere else. It is a good read whether you are a fan of Philadelphia sports or not. Mr. Leon does a great job of capturing the passion of his subjects and transferring that passion to the page. It is my hope that Mr. Leon take his nose to other cities to find more stories that we may not yet know!
