Overview

Gentle Gage Neary has been accused of the most horrific of crimes, murder. The victims are not just anyone; they're the physical therapist's innocent patients. Gage doesn't need more complications in his life. He's already in the midst of ending a miserable relationship when he finds himself the prime suspect in an FBI investigation. Cody Redsun, the smokin hot FBI agent assigned to investigate the crimes, decides that it's Gage he'd rather probe for answers.

When they find their own lives threatened, Cody gives himself a new assignment; keep Gage alive until he can find the actual killer. While the true menace to the two men seems to be clear, Cody hides a tortured past that is just as threatening to their deepening bond. As the danger heats up, so do the two men, burning only for each other and the fiery passion that promises to consume them.

Meet the Author

Patricia comes from small town America where people still believe in true love. In a house filled with family, friends and pets, she sometimes laments the lack of time just to sit down and write, though surrounded by those she loves, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Patricia falls in love with the heroes she writes about each and every time she puts their lives down on paper. She loves sexy men and hates her villains more than the reader does. It helps to hate the bad guys. It makes the story so much richer. She realized a very long time ago that the world is filled with people who live diverse and amazing lifestyles and she tries to capture the beauty of such diversity in her writing.

Patricia has had a diverse career life. She’s been a jeweler, an AIDS hospice nurse and a “dreaded” mortgage broker. She hopes that the various walks of life she’s taken come out in her work. A busy mother of four and a “stage mom” for her youngest, she always seems to be in motion.

Come join Patricia Logan on her Face Book page or blog at or write to her at patricialogan.. She’d love to hear from you and will respond to all emails.

I should just say that this was a fantastic read and leave it at that, but that's unfair to the author and the book, it's worthy of so much more.  Now this is book 2 of the Armadillo Series, but it can be read very, very successfully as a stand alone.  It's a long story, nearly 300 pages and it needs to be this length to deal with everything that is going on, but don't worry, the author's excellent skills really come into play and everything is explained in the authors unique and individual style - so you certainly get your monies worth!  I won't repeat the storyline as the blurb covers it really well, but I will give you a warning - DONT READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS they are unjust and the reviewers certainly didn't read the book I just read!  Patricia Logan is predominately known as a BDSM writer, however this book is more an erotic romance.  She is not a crime fiction writer, if you want 100% accuracy in police procedures - read a crime thriller. So what if the correct procedures were not adhered to?  Who cares?  I don't, this is as I have said, a erotic romance, as a reader, I wanted and got, a love story between two men (one who had the most horrendous upbringing) who didn't believe he deserved to be loved and the other who showed him how much loved and cherished he was!  The author has this wonderful ability to bring her characters to life and I have to keep reminding myself, when tears fill my eyes, that this is a book and the characters are not real - but it's just soooooo hard!  Loved this book and now off to read her next book in the series "Warrior Nights" - can't wait!

This story had me pissed off, cheering, crying and sighing so much I thought I was going through menopause! Cody is a great character and his not believing he could be loved got my heart like no other character I've ever read. Gage to the rescue! As much as Cody was supposed to be the hero of this book saving his man from the dirty fed and the cartel it was Gage that truly saved the day by making Cody see that not only could he be loved but was loved very deeply. Another triumph for Patricia Logan! Well done!!

The second book by Ms Logan is a solid follow in the "Nights" series. Gage is a handsome physical therapist, who has an abusive boyfriend. Cody is an FBI agent with a horrific past, who is afraid to fall in love, and believes himself to broken to love and be loved. As a series of unfortunate deaths occur, the two are thrown together and the heat is immediate. The bad guy is fairly obvious, but as is often the case, the fun is in the chase, not the minute details. The sex is believable and steamy, and the novel has great pace. Ms. Logan has shown growth in her works, and this one deserves a read.
