    Concise and fundamental information

Understanding Colon Cancer covers all areas that a lay person may question about colon cancer. In an understandable way, it thoroughly explains the diagnosis of colon cancer, treatment options and prognosis, while addressing genetics and future forecasts of screening, medications and outcomes. I recommend this book for anyone with an interest in colon cancer - patients diagnosed with colon cancer, their families, health care professionals and volunteers in the area of cancer prevention and education.

A Clear Understanding of Colon Cancer

Dr. Adrouny is one of those rare physician/oncologists who is able to convert knowledge of his subject into words, phrases and thoughts that are fluid and understandable to the layman. Since colon cancer is the number two cause of cancer in the nation today, interest in the subject has heightened considerably and the book is a fast, yet comprehensive read for a wide audience. Having ordered and read the book before undergoing a routine colonoscopy I went into the procedure with a positive and informed outlook. Dr. Adrouny also analyzes the latest techniques in colon examinations including the merits of virtual colonscopies. C. G. Elliott Wai

Great Book Contains Much Needed Information

I recently purchased this book about a week ago from a barnes and noble and I have already finished this book. As you read you really do start to understand colon cancer, one of the most deadliest forms of cancer. Dr. A Richard Adrouny, a new author, has written an excellent first book as well he should due to the respect he is given in his field of medical study. I highly highly recommend this book for doctors, students, people diagnosed with colon cancer, and anyone else who has a passion for learning.
