If you are looking for a book to cover the basics of trading sto

If you are looking for a book to cover the basics of trading stocks, this is a good book to start with. The book discusses how to start trading, how to minimize risk by diversifying your portfolio, and how to value stocks. It also goes over fundamental, as well as technical analysis. The author does his best to not bore his readers. The author makes the most out of every chapter, and does a good job at packing a lot of information into a relatively short book.
One thing I have learned after reading this book is that I am not ready to join the stock market.  After reading this book I know the basics of trading stocks, but I am not confident to invest any real amount of money yet. If you are new to trading I recommend that you read this book. When you are finished you can open up a virtual account where you can use fake money to invest in the stock market before you risk any real money. That way you get experience by trading in the stock market without having to risk your own money.
The book is divided into four parts. One problem I had about this book is that a fair portion of part three seems to be primarily directed towards day trading. Day trading is very risky and should be left to the pros, not the people reading a book that is clearly made for beginners.
Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about investing in the stock market. However, if you are experienced and have been trading for years, this book will not be very helpful.

Great book to read for understanding stocks!

I was trying to learn about stocks for the very first time and found this book to be very informative. It's very easy to understand and goes straight into the information you need without any long boring stories. I would definetly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about the stock market.

    Simply the best!!!

I have always heard various comments made about stocks and I decided to really buckle down and find out about it so I can understand the financial news more. Well I searched through various books and this one is exceptional. It is simple, easy to understand and wow I can understand CNBC much better. The only wish I now have about this book is I wish I had read it years ago. Outstanding job by the author. It is a great book to start to learn about the stock market and to proceed with. I am a paralegal in a law firm and I am really impressed. I think I will buy more copies as gifts.
