Inspired by the tale of Rapunzel, Lila DiPasqua offers a new steamy, emotionally charged historical romance in the acclaimed Fiery Tales Series . . . Rescuing this beauty from the 'tower' is only the beginning . . .

Maintaining her ruse as a commoner, and trusting no one has kept Angelica safe. But a chance encounter with a handsome stranger lands her right where danger lies. Now, this sinfully handsome man with arresting blue eyes and a polished manner thinks he's saved her life, when in fact he's placed her in great peril. She's intent on keeping him and everyone else at arm's length. Yet, the smoldering attraction between them is difficult to deny. And impossible to ignore . . .

As commander of a number of privateer ships, Simon Boulenger dresses and speaks like an aristocrat, and has obtained wealth. But he is still not a noble. Or an officer in the King's Navy. His lifelong dream to elevate himself from his station of birth and attain a respectable place in society is dead. Worse, he's ensnared in a deadly scheme, and must get out. But how is he to stay focused on his dangerous mission when the mysterious beauty has him utterly intrigued? He can't afford the distraction any more than he can resist the carnal hunger she stirs. Simon soon discovers that she's not only a passionate soul mate, but a woman born into privilege. A woman he can never have. But they're in too deep. Their hearts are at risk . . . as well as their lives.

Thus far, this is my favorite book of 2012. From the very first sentence of “Once upon a time . . . “ to the author’s ending historical note, I was in hook, line, and sinker. Undone is the story of Simon who desperately wants to be part of the French aristocracy and Angelica who is running from her noble birth. Each has their own secrets but finds a way to overcome these obstacles to be together. I personally thought Simon and Angelica were some of the smartest characters I’ve read about in a long time. Angelica stays true to character throughout the book. She’s a strong woman who is not afraid to take risks. Simon is uniquely interesting. Even though some of his reactions to Angelica were infuriating, I had empathy for his character and could understand his actions. This story was laugh-out loud funny in parts, but it could bring me to tears in the very next chapter.

Lila DiPasqua knows how to write a love story that captures the reader throughout the pages. Her prose, character development, and plot flow easily and magically throughout the story. Undone takes nothing for granted. For me, this story took a lot of turns like a roller coaster ride, but I enjoyed every one of them. After I finished the book, the story stayed with me for days-because it’s that good! I can’t wait to see what Lila writes next!!

Life is good!! I was fortunate to read historical romance author Lila DiPasqua recent release UNDONE. A romance loosely based on the beloved classic Grimm’s fairy tale, classic RAPUNZEL. Before I begin I would like to share a little trivia with you. Did you know, that the brothers actually adapted their own story from its original author Charlotte-Rose de Caumont de La Force who originally published Persinette in 1698. I can say with quite certainty that readers will not be disappointed when they have a copy of UNDONE in their hands. DiPasqua has turned up the heat and chemistry between her characters as she sets her romance in the decadently opulent 17th century France. We the readers will devour every word as DiPasqua introduces us to the wonderful world and characters of UNDONE.

DiPasqua sizzles while delving into dark and light into humanity and delivering a erotic powerhouse of emotions. UNDONE is a story of a lush tale of romance, sexuality and the fragility of the human spirit. Lila DiPasqua delivers time and again a delightful, sexy and a redemptive romp keeping readers intoxicated from beginning to end. UNDONE is one spectacular read that kept this reader up until the break of dawn glued to the pages by infusing everyone with plenty of sizzle and a compelling story.

In Undone we get to learn more about Simon Boulenger, who we meet in A Midnight Dance (book 3). Simon’s only goal in life has been to become an aristocrat, by any means possible.
Simon has battled his way from poverty and certain death to become an officer in the King’s navy. Oh and Simon is a very, very naughty boy. Why you ask? Well you will just have to read the book :) But after so long of doing anything it takes to move up in this unforgiving world, Simon is starting to rethink his goals. After the death of a good friend he doesn’t know that being an aristocrat is worth it any more. He starts to question his goals, who he is, where he is going and what he wants. At that very moment fate steps in and literally knocks him to the ground in the form of a very beautifully plain woman. Life for Simon will never be the same from this moment on.

Angelica has been in hiding herself away for many, many years and she has no intention of ever being found. She is content where she is, it might not be ideal but it is better then ever going back home. But when Angelica finds herself tangled in a mess of arms and legs with a very large and incredibly handsome man, she has no idea the twist her life just took.

Lila DiPasqua is a wickedly talented author. I have loved every story of her’s that I have read. Undone left me totally undone, but in a very, very good way. Lila does a great job of having two main characters who are stubborn to a fault, beyond a fault really. Who both are hiding secrets that they are ashamed of. Each fears the truth will send the other running. But the journey that these two go on will show them that truth, trust and love can conquer all.

I will say that Simon & Angelica drove me nuts, they made me laugh, they made me cry on multiple occasions, but in the end like any good fiery tale there was a happy ending.

I loved Undone and so can’t wait to see what Lila has in store for us next with Three Reckless Wishes (book 5 in the Fiery Tale series), Luc’s book.

HUGE thank you for Lila for the great honor of letting me read your story.

Review originally posted at Romancing the Book

This was without a doubt one of the best historicals I ever read! It took a beautiful young and strong lady who has managed to stay safe until the very handsome Simon Boulenger made a go for her! He thinks he has done her a favor and rescued her, but in fact he has placed their lives in more trouble.

But amongst the danger and secrets, they share a very strong attraction for each other that was beautifully described by the author. She really let me feel like I was escaping to a whole new world, which to me is extremely important when reading a book. It makes me feel more emotionally connected to the characters and Mrs DiPasqua has made sure to get my attention and hold it to the last page.

The tale of two people who are definitely meant to be together but have certain obstructions in their way and I mean some really tough ones was so well described by the author that it really brought the book alive.

The author definitely put a good amount of true emotion into this one. I laughed and cried and felt the emotion all the way.

    A MUST READ!!!

Completely entranced! I read this book in a day and a half. In her own amazing style Ms. Di Pasqua has outdone herself. Angelica and Simon's story was erotic, romantic and captivating. A true must read, it will have you "undone" too!

    Nice introduction to Lila DiPasqua

Angelique was a woman hiding abroad when Simon came upon her and unwittingly took her back to France and into harms way. This story of their finding trust and romance in each other's arms was charming and heart warming. It was my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more.

Execellent book and story! Not your normal regancy story but set in that time period. Even though it has a captain and ships it's not overwhelmed by them. I'm not a fan of those books but this one kept me turning pages the whole way. These two charaters are very well matched from the start and I really hope we get a series out of it!

Who said fairy tales can't be for adults? Certainly not Lila DiP

Who said fairy tales can't be for adults? Certainly not Lila DiPasqua! She's taken yet another well known children's story and made it into an erotic tale of love, betrayal and adventure. I was so excited to read Undone in part because I love the idea of adult fairy tales and of course, because I just love having the chance to discover a new favorite.

I originally thought Undone was going to be just a sexed up, cheesy story inspired by Rapunzel but no, there really isn't that much of the children's tale in this book, just vague similarities that if you don't already know the story of Rapunzel, you won't notice. Undone didn't disappoint at all. In fact, it exceeded my expectations and made me a fan of author Lila DiPasqua in the process.

Let's talk about the hero and the heroine, I loved both Simon and Angelica immediately after meeting them. Two more wounded warriors I can't recall, they're both passionate and stubborn so it was interesting to see how these two would work around their personal issues.

Angelica isn't a very wordy heroine, I noticed that right away, BUT that doesn't mean she's a push over either. She's just an expert in what I call "Intellectual Warfare." She thinks things through and prefers to prove her point through actions. She's a firecracker that one and I loved this new (to me) type of heroine. One that saves her arguments until she can back them up with actions. She knows that if she goads someone physically stronger than her into a physical confrontation, she won't win, but if she thinks the situation through, she stands a chance of getting her way. Smart, strong woman = interesting book.

Simon. Ah Simon. He exudes such raw sexuality that it's hard not to shiver whenever he graces the pages, let alone when he speaks. He's immediately attracted to Angelica and is torn between his desire for her and doing right by her. He's definitely one of the sexiest fictional characters I've ever come across. Let's just say if Simon were a real man and not a character, I'd be looking at him like he was the last piece of chocolate and I was dying for a fix.

Undone is a sexy adventure that will leave you breathless and wanting more. The characters are memorable, the story is engaging and most of all, the chemistry between Simon and Angelica is off the charts!
