Overview

After her painful divorce, novelist Jessica Simon brought her shattered spirit home to the beloved Connecticut farm of her youth. There, Jessie hoped to conquer a bad case of writer's block--and find peace. Instead, as if he were a ghost, she found Nick Granby, her first love, the man she had never forgotten.

Architect Nick Granby had his own problems, past and present, and the neighboring farm he had escaped years ago was the last place he wanted to be. Yet his ailing father needed him. And then there was the one woman he had loved--and lost. Could he make amends with Jessie too?

Jessie couldn't deny her feelings for Nick. But could she trust him this time not to break her heart? Or were happy endings only for the books she wrote?

Meet the Author

Award-winning author Leigh Riker was eight years old when she got the best Christmas present ever--a typewriter from Santa. After first writing a romance in serial form for her middle-school classmates a few years later, she next began her actual career by publishing short stories. But with her first novel, she truly found her fictional "home." Fourteen books later her passion for writing and romance remains as strong as ever.

When not writing or thinking about writing, she loves to read or watch movies that make her laugh and cry, dig in the garden, travel, and play the piano with gusto if not finesse.

With her husband and their mischievous Maine Coon cat, she lives in the Southeast where she is (of course) working on a new novel. On her computer.
