I've had the tape since 1985 when it came out. Needless to say it's pretty wore out. Now I'm upgrading to CD. In the 80s this tape caused a lot of controversy in the Christian community for being too Pop like. Seems to me like Amy was just ahead of her time!

If you didn't know, this tape was made in 1985 (since it doesn't say on the screen). If you like the 80's sound, you'll absolutely love this tape. It has cool sounds. This tape is awsome! All the songs on here are good. And Amy's vocals are really good on this tape (better than her other tapes). you just have to hear it. Theres so many cool songs on here. and the song I'll be waiting (or whatever its called) is such a beautiful song. If your going to get any Amy CDs, you should get this one and Straight Ahead. Trust me. this tape is awsome! I like the guitar sounds and...................Well just buy this tape. OK.

Unguarded, Amy Grant's sixth regular studio album and ninth album overall, marked her big pop move. After 1982's Age to Age and 1984's Straight Ahead went gold despite distribution restricted mainly to Christian bookstores, Grant's management forged a distribution deal with major independent A&M Records for Unguarded, and the album was backed with a promotional campaign and national tour in keeping with a front-line pop act.
