Overview

1923 historical, fast-paced thriller of Osage Indian murders. Oil and whiskey flowed as freely as Osage blood, as told by Jake Knupp, wildcatter.

In 1923 oil rich Osage Indians were murdered for their headrights. Unhappy Hunting Ground tells of the times when advertisements ran for men looking for rich Osage wives, to wildcatting for oil and million dollar lease sales with Frank Phillips, Cosden, Marland and Skelly all bidding for the same lease, to blond lady gun-runners to bootleggers, to the ultimate mastermind of the murders of the Osage. It is suspense at its highest.
