    Pretty good

The two I have read aren't bad. They portrayed Dean and Sam very well and pretty much perfectly. My only problem is how they portray Castiel as cold and emotionless and just a guy Dean and sam talk to. Cass is neither cold nor emotionless just newer to human emotions and he is a freind to Dean and Sam not jut a random character that may help them or just appear. Frankly it sours the story without teir constant rantong but friendship to each other. But other than that they weren't bad.

Not the best book of the series

This book started out great, but toward the end the story became unrealistic. For example, at one point Sam jumps off a moving train and out runs the train...and by quite a bit...as the author had to give Sam enough time to work on a rescue before the train reached that point. Book gets 3 stars as it starts out as a good read.

    Great read

If you just can't wait for the series to comeback or you're getting tired of rewatching the same episodes over and over (never happen!), then this is a great substitute. The story is fun and the author really understands the the Winchester brothers. I think the other chararcters are written well also. I also enjoyed the background story, gives a little insight into civil war buffs.

I was disapointed with this book...

This Supernatural novel has been a disapointment. It appeared to be reaching for something grand, but couldn't quite make it. Castiel's appearance served no purpose in this story (he just popped in and out without notice or reason) and the sheriff seemed more concerned about the Winchesters than about the craziness going on around her. Not a story that made alot of sense.

    I Also Recommend:

    For true Supernatural fans!

If you have been a follower of the hit series on CW11 every Thursday at 9, you already know that there's already comics and books that fall along with the story, either as fillers, or prequels.
Now this is really a fresh and and thrilling novel. Unlike most of the other, previous ones, the language is descriptive and beautiful, straight to the point, and Joe Schreiber really captures the spirit of the story, along with the famous Winchester attitude.
It is fast paced, and the plot interweaves into the events that take placce on the actual episodes.
After reaching chapter 12, I simply could not put the book down. I stayed up all night and read halfway up to the final chapter, 38.
There are not enough words to describe my satisfaction with this novel. A congratulations to Joe Schreiber and I am eagerly hoping he writes more for Supernatural!
