Sooo happy that ebooks have become a means by which oldies-but-smokin'-hot- goodies have found new life! Candace Schuler was one of the original Harlequin authors that they designed the Blaze line for, featuring heroes and heroines more equal in experience with more explicit love scenes, and just more in keeping with the modern romance reader's sensibilities. With the explosion in popularity of the more erotic romance publishers like Ellora's Cave in the mid 2000s, the Blaze line doesn't seem quite as explicit as it did then, but these authors were certainly trailblazers...if you'll forgive the pun. And Candace was one of the best. Uninhibited introduces us to Reed Sullivan of the Beacon Hill Sullivans, rich, successful, handsome as they come...and tired of his beloved grandmother's matchmaking machinations. When she summons him to meet yet another potential bride, he is surprised at the red hot attraction he instantly feels for her, piqued at her lack of awe, and dismayed when he discovers his grandmother's real plans. Zoe Moon has worked hard to establish her new line of homemade beauty products and has had success with individual clients and even one of Boston's high end stores. So when the high and mighty Sullivan heir treats her like a street peddlar trying to con his grandmother out of the money she wants to invest in Zoe's company, all the while staring at her like a ravenous wolf, she is understandably miffed. The negotiation between the opposites is fiery and mutually satisfying, but will a successful contract be enough for either in the end. Loved revisiting this book and now plan to re-read more...just wish they'd reprint all of them as I see my favorite Schuler-penned trilogy is missing from the offerings here. Get on that, B&N...and welcome back, Candace!
