United We Stand, Vol. 2

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Heather Phares
United We Stand, Vol. 2 gathers more America-themed pop, rock, and country songs, including likely choices such as Johnny Cash's "Song of the Patriot," the Charlie Daniels Band's "In America," and Waylon Jennings' "America." However, the collection also includes some pop songs that aren't especially pertinent, among them Don McLean's "American Pie" and the Steve Miller Band's "Living in the U.S.A.," as well as politically polarized tracks like the Youngbloods' peace and love anthem "Get Together" and Lee Greenwood's version of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and Dave Dudley's "What We're Fighting For." Most of the tracks here are decent, with the possible exception of Zanna's rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner," which unfortunately sounds like an inferior impersonation of Mariah Carey. Still, it's hard to criticize an album that benefits the American Red Cross too harshly; anyone with enough patriotic spirit to purchase this collection in the first place won't be too disappointed by its contents.

Outstanding collection, of some of the finest and world reknowned artists giving special tribute to our country the United /states O f America I would like to give special thanks to the Red Cross and to Capitol Records, for their support .

Outstanding collection of some of the Greatest artists known around the world, as we can see as we approach September, 11th, 2003, that the continued support of our troops and their families is what is most important, and we thank the Red Cross and Capitol records for their rendition of Patiotism shared thru music, Much success to the the Troops/ their families and Very Special thanks to the New Artist that inspiring voice appears on this special cd, Zanna, I would like to hear more of her in the future, she sings from her soul, her voice resounds. Zanna has a voice that is to be reckoned with, in her tear jerking version of the Star Spangled Banner she reminds us of the struggle, and the victory of being American. Looking forward to hearing more of her. Also I was at the September 11th,2001 Brazilian Independence Day, and this version of the Star Spangled Banner was performed , and Zanna sang before over 1 million people heard her sing, so she is a new artists sings like no other, and voice and performance awesome, televised in Brazil nine days to 911 in New York City. Eau teamo Za rio Zanna. chow
