Chapter One
THE ESSENCE
Who or What is The Essence?
The Essence is a group of spiritual Masters, without physical form, a current of divine energy, that communicates with us through Graciela, who, by allowing this energy to flow with her and through her, gives them a voice and human feeling in response to the longing of those who listen to remember who they are, where they come from, how to explain the events that occur in the physical world, and how to live a full and satisfactory reality regardless of the circumstances they live it in.
To quote the description The Essence give us about themselves: The Essence is not an individual as you may identify it from your physical manifestation. The Essence is collective consciousness. It is a current of divine Conscience that concentrates from different points of the Total and Absolute Awareness, and flows towards the physical world in answer to its questions, through a physical, human, channel, in this case Graciela, who articulates and gives voice to the answers she is given in the form of blocks of ideas.
What is Channeling?
My way of explaining this channeling process, according to what The Essence has taught me, is that I receive their vibration at a subconscious level. I receive their signals at a subconscious level and then translate them consciously into human language. In other words, I am a sort of bridge between the physical world and spiritual energy. Basically, I set my own ego aside to allow this energy to be present in me and flow through my words.
From the beginning, I've been told that that the reason why I can channel with such ease is because my beliefs and opinions are not too strict. That I am open to life and that my perception of reality isn't subject to any particular structure, so I allow this energy to easily flow with me in a clear and natural way.
The Essence explains that we all have access to this information because it is part of who we are. We express it, many times unconsciously, through our inspiration, through art, the sciences, thousands of ways. And as there is a wide variety of expressions of our inspiration, so there is a wide variety of "translations" from the spiritual world. The Essence, channeled through me, has a very particular hue and tone, for it is the hue and the tone of my personality. The message of The Essence-Graciela is unique because we are all unique in our physical expression. When I began channeling I stopped reading other channels in order to be a completely pristine, transparent and crystal-clear channel of this divine energy.
The Essence has lovingly "taken me by the hand" and, as time goes by, as I continue channeling, with every thought, with every word, we are forming this The Essence-Graciela fusion, which allows me to find ever deeper, clearer and more beautiful words to interpret their message as each day goes by. When my words are completely aligned with the energy of The Essence, the message I transmit is convincing and clear. I grow day by day with The Essence. The answers evoked, whether it may be by me, by my family or by all the people that come to us looking for answers from The Essence, continue to clarify and expand on the concepts that are transmitted through me.
My wish is that you enjoy the messages found in these pages. May they serve to remind you of who you are, why you're here and how you can fully enjoy your physical experience.
Chapter Two
THE BEGINNING
First Contact
It is difficult to try to explain in such a small space just what the presence of The Essence has meant in my life, the lives of my children as well as the lives of those closest to my heart. It would take a whole other book to describe all the facts and events that took place in my life, and that I now understand were meant to prepare me to carry out this wonderful adventure. So I'll try not to bore you with a long story.
It was at the beginning of the year 2007 that I decided to focus on spirituality and my psychic abilities. My personal and financial situation was depressing. I was divorced, with three children and a not-so-promising salary.
On this particular day I was standing in line at a bookstore, waiting to pay for some books I was buying for my son, when something made me turn around and look at a "For Sale" stand, which by the way, was strategically located near the cash registers. The first thing I saw was a box of 5 CDs titled "The Law of Attraction - The teachings of Abraham" by Jerry and Esther Hicks. I had never heard of them. I didn't have the slightest idea what the CDs were about, but I picked the box up and started reading the back cover. I was immediately captivated by what I was reading. I read promises of obtaining everything one wants. They spoke of a woman that spoke to Abraham, a group of spirits. In that moment I felt a tremendous attraction, an unexplainable tingle through my skin - which I now know is the preamble, a physical manifestation of The Essence's presence in me. I felt compelled to buy them, but I wasn't carrying enough money. Even so, I held them in my hands for a moment, not wanting to let go, and it wasn't until I had accepted the fact that I couldn't buy them, that I put them back on the shelf and as I moved my hand away from the box, I noticed a big sticker that read: "special 75% off +an additional 20% off for members". It seemed as if 'someone' made me see it. I happily bought the discs and ran to the car to start listening to them. I put in the first disc in and began to listen, got home and immediately shared my "finding" with Cristina, who had already heard about Abraham-Hicks.
This first contact with the Law of Attraction, these 5 CDs, opened the way for me to continue my search for my truth. They spoke of the fact that we are the creators of our own existence. Some very advanced concepts yet put in such simple and easy-to-understand words. New concepts that were not completely unfamiliar to me. It seemed as if I was "remembering" something that I already knew.
A few months later we attended an Abraham-Hicks workshop. Something definitely changed inside of me and my two daughters. We returned to Houston and began to meditate with more determination; we also began to play with the Ouija board, to communicate with our loved ones that had gone before us to the spiritual world. All of a sudden our lives became interesting. We had so much to talk about, so much to share! Every day we compared experiences and confirmed the lessons learned. The Law of Attraction does exist and is real, we kept repeating over and over again.
Now that we were so "psychic" I went back to the Ouija board and was told the name of my spiritual guide yet again. Afterwards the same question was asked with different people playing the board, and the answer was always the same. A B R A H A M. I began to speak directly to them and ask for their spiritual guidance. After all, that is what a Spiritual Guide is for. The instructions were always the same: meditate, meditate, meditate. I couldn't help thinking: "Yes, it's easy for you to say because you have nothing else to do! You have no conflicts or problems on your mind (what's more, you have no mind!) but I don't really see clearly."
It was the evening of January 8, 2008 and I went back to the board to talk to Abraham because "nothing was happening" when I meditated (and I was doing so faithfully every day). In that moment, the Ouija board spelled out: "Get up and go meditate right now." Cristina and I ran to the living room to meditate and see what this was all about. Cristina ran in with a notebook and a pen in hand, ready to write down whatever we would find. We had no idea what was about to happen.
A few minutes after beginning to take deep breaths and clear my mind, my head began to move on its own. I felt as if "something" was "trying on" my body like one tries on a coat. The head movements were clumsy but slow. I knew, more by instinct than by intelligence, that I shouldn't fear since my head was moving delicately and I could feel an immense force of love that was "flowing" through my entire body. It was a very pleasant feeling, like a bath of warm honey.
Cristina immediately asked if they wanted to communicate. The answer was a big nod of my head followed by a series of movements that first drew the Greek symbol of infinity () and then, one by one the letters that spelled out the following message:
"We are Abraham. We are eternal and we can help you. Tomorrow you will receive more information. Meditate. You are loved."
Since then I channel every day and my beloved teachers communicate with those who are ready to hear their message, through me. For a while I channeled only for my daughters. This was such a different and great phenomenon, that we weren't sure how our relatives and loved ones would react to it. Little by little, The Essence led the way and we began offering this information to the world, little by little. At first, with the people closest to us and with more people each day. Today, this message is heard in English and Spanish in over 20 countries around the world.
By May 2008 it became obvious that this message was going to spread in an amazing way. It was for this reason, and out of respect for another great interpreter who has done a wonderful job of spreading the message, that I, along with my beloved guides, decided to change the name to The Essence, because indeed, that is what they are, The Essence of our being.
In the following pages, you will find The Essence's message, a summary of its "dictation" and extracts of conversations and interviews of The Essence with several people. This book is a story of the message that The Essence has delivered so far. We have omitted the names of the people who have asked to allow for a greater freedom and energy flow.
Chapter Three
THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE
We are here. We wish to tell you many things that you must share with your fellow humans. The work that lies ahead for you will be fun; there is much to do. Find the time to write every day. You will receive instructions from us as to what the next step will be. We will help you carry out your task. Record everything we say. We want to tell you that we are happy to be here on your physical platform of time and space. We are an integral part of you and you are an integral part of us. You are receiving blocks of information from us and are learning to interpret these ideas. We wish to tell you that you are loved, that everything, absolutely everything is perfectly alright. We want you to be happy. It's all up to you. The river flows and you can't stop it. When you realize that everything is alright, that you are God, then you will stop resisting and will allow yourself to enjoy. Search for a thought that feels slightly better. Emotions. Vibrations. We want you to find it.
We come here to remind you who you really are. We come here to remind you that you are an infinite being; that your life didn't begin the moment you got into this physical body and won't end the day you leave it. That you have always existed and will exist forever. Embrace concepts that your human mind cannot comprehend based on parameters of time and space you know in your physical state. You came to this world to create. You are an adventurer, a creator of the finest nature. And that creative spirit is what brought you into this physical world. You are here because that is what you wanted. You are here because of your own eagerness to create and be more. You created your own existence and every moment of it. You came to this physical body to create and enjoy. You came to this world with impressive strength and momentum for the simple pleasure of creating.
We want you to know that you are like a beam that shoots through the Universe and your physical expression is the smallest tip of the beam. Your physical body, the one you know now as "you", is the point so to speak, where that beam touches the earth, but you exist all along that beam to the origin, at the Awareness and total knowledge, where we are and also where you are. You exist at every point of that "beam" on all those vibrating frequencies. Your physical body is but a tiny manifestation of just how great you are.
Your essence vibrates and lives far beyond this physical body.
Chapter Four
YOU ARE ETERNAL
We wish to make an important point clear because it is in the knowledge and understanding of this concept that the answers to all of your questions lie: YOU ARE ETERNAL. Your existence did not begin the day you appeared in this physical body you now wear, and will not end the day you avert your attention from the physical and focus it on the spirit. Your physical body is but a tiny manifestation of who you really are.
Imagine a beam that shoots through the sky and imagine that the exact point where the beam touches the earth is the point of contact where your physical body manifests itself. Now, freeze that image and observe it with the eye of your mind. You, the real "You", are that light that glows along the whole beam. You are beam and you are body. With your physical mind you imagine that you are separated from the force of God, but we are here today to remind you that you are god all the time. You are physical body and you are divine energy at the same time.
You have asked us if some day you will be able to come and go from the physical world to the spiritual world at will. We want you to know that you are already coming and going at will. Your Inner Self, that greater part of you, IS eternal. Your Inner Self has always existed and will exist forever. Your eagerness to grow and be more is what drives you to create and come to this physical experience. It is what makes you come back and enjoy, it is what makes you leave your physical body when the circumstances of your physical life no longer motivate you to want to create more in this world. You abandon the physical body to create a new experience. It's like when you take a vacation, after a while you long to go back home, to your house, your bed, your daily life. And soon you begin to plan another trip, another adventure. Your spiritual existence is the same.
Death as such doesn't exist - the abandonment or leaving behind of this physical body is a natural step to the next level. When you offer your hand to who you really are, this Inner Self, you will no longer fear the "death" of your physical body, because in that precise moment you will remember that you are eternal, that you are inherent to the Father and as such, you will never cease to exist.
When you realize that you have the power inside of you, the power of God, to create your future the best way you see fit, the past no longer matters, it is water under the bridge. This is what we are talking about: let's use the example of a person who's afraid of the dark. This person, because of tradition and the advice of many people with good intentions, looks to his past to find the reason for this fear. He finds it illogical and unnecessary. And let's also suppose that this person runs into a good friend that has begun to remember who he is and speaks of this flow of life, about his eternal nature, about meditation. And so, our imaginary friend begins to meditate, to soften his vibration and to unite, little by little, with his best ally: his Inner Self. Then, he gently begins to realize that he is much more than this physical body he now carries and begins to understand how important the here and now is. The past is gone and the future hasn't arrived yet. You create the future with every thought. Then, by understanding this great truth, this friend will start working with his life now, this very instant. He discovers that his past is what brought him here today, but that there is no need to change it; it's water under the bridge. His past is upstream, what he has in his hands is this precise moment of his life. And he discovers that it's not that important to discover the cause of one's fears but instead how to unite with one's self and realize that nothing is impossible. That merely by softening one's perception about darkness and appreciating all the beauty there is in life, your fears begin to fade away and disappear. Those fears lose strength.
