I realy wanted to like this book. But I just couldnt, the character, especialy the villain, is such a shallow stereotype of a person its unbeleavable! Every action of EVERY character is so obviously the wrong thing to do, and so unrealistic, that every few pages I had to stop reading or I would have thrown the nook down! Some books use the frustration of injustice to pull on your heart, this book uses it like a sledge hammer to beat any sense out of the reader! Horrible! Recycled plots and cliche story lines, addolecent characters and simple writing. Big pass! Good thing it was free....

Its got everything you look for in a top notch fantasy book. The history with the blood runes abd the dark king gives you thoughts of hitler and then the resurgence of the evil just floods you with hope for the heroin. This book grabs you in ways most authors cant. Read this book to find out more. Cant wait for book two

I didn't really get into this til after about 250 pages. I was begining to fear it would never pick up. I'm glad I hung in. The book is interesting and I purchased the other two. The book got consistently better so I am hoping that the next two keep getting better as well. I will review them and let you know. sanna7125

This was a very good read. A bit predictable, but other than that I was happy to spend the day reading it.
